I noticed my Rarebreed FRT-RD3 creates quite a bit of up and down play in the lower on my SP5 and SP5K-PDW. Both are rock solid with the OEM trigger packs installed. Is this anything to be concerned about?

I installed an FRT-RD3 in my HK SP5. It was a 5 minute install with no fitting or tuning. First 300 rounds ran flawlessly with zero malfunctions. 50/50 mix of 115 and 147 ammo with an 80° LP. Hate the company all you want, but this trigger fucks.

EDIT 1: Added clarity that this optic only has about 3-4K rounds on it.

EDIT 2: Trijicon sent me an RMA to evaluate and repair.

I shot a USPSA match yesterday with my Glock 34 which had an SRO on it since 2019. I have never had any issues with this optic, but it only has about 3-4K rounds on it. I shot the first stage no problem, but when I went to make ready for the second stage the dot was off and wouldn't turn back on. I got bumped to the end of the shooting order and swapped the battery out for a fresh one and the dot came back on. 

I took two shots into the second stage and the dot disappeared again. I had to shoot the rest of the stage with my backup irons. After the second stage I tried swapping to a fresh battery again and the dot would not turn back on. It appears to be completely dead. Multiple dudes on my squad said they've seen multiple SROs randomly fail during matches just like mine. So looks like I'll be contacting Trijicon support today to hopefully get it fixed. 

I ended up taking the SRO completely off and shooting the rest of the match with my backup irons. What could have completely ruined my day ended up resulting in me shooting a match with iron sights for the first time in 9 years. It was actually kind of fun (after the initial frustration of my optic failing wore off).

Why am I telling you all this?

1. Always run backup irons on your Glocks. They are cheap insurance. In my case I was able to shoot the rest of the match with mine instead of having to go home early.

2. Don't put SROs on your carry guns. I have witnessed two break their lenses from very minor bumps, so I have always been extra careful not to bump mine into anything. That didn't seem to matter as mine just died of natural causes, and the guys I was shooting with said they have seen that a lot.

The HD P 4.5 might be the most uncomfortable pistol I've ever shot in my life. The beavertail/thumb safety area is very sharp and thin and it hurt my hand every time I pulled the trigger. Ended up only putting two mags through it and returning it. I'm really not seeing how Stacatto thinks these are going to replace Glocks.

Took my BG 2.0 to the range today. It has about 800rds total through it now. No issues at the range, but I just finished cleaning it and noticed during function check that there's something wonky going on with the trigger.

When pulling the trigger it hits a wall, then when pulling through the wall it feels like the trigger breaks with a loud click, but the striker doesn't drop. I need to squeeze the trigger really hard rearward against the over travel stop then the striker finally drops, but at what feels like half power.

It doesn't do this every pull though. Some pulls are totally normal, but some pulls don't drop the striker at all no matter how hard I pull after the false wall.

Has anyone had a similar issue and know what's causing it? I'd strongly prefer not to have to send it back to S&W because it took 5 weeks last time.

Selling Protech Malibu 5405-Red Reverse Tanto Flipper Stonewashed Magnacut with Textured Red Handle. I am the original owner. Knife has been carried and lightly used to cut open packages and some cardboard. No cosmetic damage to handles or blade, but there is a slight shiny spot where the pocket clip contacts the scale (shown in video) that is only really visible with bright overhead light. Action is buttery smooth and perfectly drop shut. Knife has never been disassembled. Blade is perfectly centered and still has the factory edge, but could use touched up as it drags a bit on printer paper.
