New pigeon issues
I got this pigeon from someone who got her and couldn’t take care of her. I have multiple birds and just wanted to help.
Well this bird HATES ME.
She was outside her entire life (didn’t find out until the day I got her) and I have her inside. She’s in a large cage that’s wider than it is tall and it’s on the ground (not the pictured cage, that was just for transport). But she pecks constantly, growls (if that’s what it’s called??), smacks me with her wings, and runs/flies any chance she gets. It’s been 2 weeks and I don’t even try to handle her, she just does that when I feed her/clean the cage. When she scatters like that, she flings her food and water everywhere and creates a massive mess.
I’m just at my wits end with her. I don’t mind keeping her for now, but is this normal? Or should I just try to rehome to someone else?
