I hate how trains immediately start hiding as soon as I want to railfan

I swear to god, its as if trains are scared of me or something because as soon as I go to a crossing that a million trains pass through in a day, the railroads all of a sudden aren't 24/7 and I could be there for about 2 hours and not 1 train is even gonna think about coming to that crossing. I don't have a scanner or radio of some sort so I can't really track trains, but I can try to predict trains. I have so many examples of this that if I told you, we would be here until tomorrow.

This useless monitor in TSW

I wish this monitor worked the way it did in real life because the only thing I ever use this for is checking my speed and that is only when I'm close to the maximun permitted speed. This monitor and multiple other buttons on the trains of TSW that are really useful IRL but practically useless in TSW should be a interactive button instead of something that just sits there for the realism and accuracy of the locomotive.

Railroad crossings look sooo cute

I don't know why, but the way they're built is so adorable! The way a railroad crossing looks like its holding the red and white stick with the grey part that comes down looks so cute to me and its pretty hard to explain why. It just looks like a cute stick figure holding a stick and waiting to protect people from train. Also, the sound railroad crossings make when they activate, it randomly gives me cute aggression! I can't reasonably explain why I think railroad crossings look so cute, they just do!

RCO in TSW would be so cool!

It would be like operating a model train just its bigger than you and maybe with the addition to golf carts, that would make the game so much more fun! EXCEPT FOR A CSX (CSX specifically) RCO!!!

High iron, dovetail, and the railroads are just trolling at this point.

How much longer until they actually upload sonething that doesnt look like an SD40-2, ES44AC, SD70ACE, or a GP38-2? Like, get out of the comfort also, the railroads that Dovetail and high iron get permission from only want to give us the locomotives that are the Honda civics and Toyota Camry's of diesel locomotives instead of doing 'out of the ordinary' locomotives like they're soooo important.

Dovetail should make it so that when you start a timetable ro scenario, you spawn outside of the trian and need to enter it instead of already being inside it.

Would make the game more realistic and more railroad-y.

Does anyone else get a weird feeling when they're in a K–__ school, knowing we used to be in the exact same shoes as the kindergarteners and first graders?

I get this weird feeling whenever I see pre-K, kindergarten, or first graders. It's crazy to think that not too long ago, I was in their shoes—just trying to figure out what school was and completely oblivious to the fact that I'd be doing it for the next 12 years of my life. Back then, graduating felt so far away that it didn't even seem real.

What's even weirder is realizing that by the time I'm in 12th grade or have already graduated, those same kids will barely be halfway through their school journey. It's strange how fast time goes by. One minute you're the little kid walking into school for the first time, and before you know it, you're one of the oldest students in the building getting ready to move on to the next chapter.

Probably not possible but TSW should make it so that the engineers hand is actually on the throttle or whatever lever your on so it can feel like im operating a sentient train.

What scenario or timetable does this happen on Cajon Pass?

Ive been wanting to do this ever since I first got the game pass, but it was just impossible to find because I had no idea which one it was on. Do you guys know? Because im trying to do this one and it seems cool.

Does TSW make anybody else forget how tall trains actually are until you go see one?

This has been the case for me multiple times and even though I have a huge TV I play TSW on, it still makes the trains and railcars look small. Even when I'm in the cab, I still don't feel like I'm that height up compared to everything else.

What locomotive or route have you used the least and which one do you use the most and why?

I stopped using AC4400CWs and sand patch grade because its genuinely hot garbage. AC4400CWs wheelslip no matter what, can barely pull anything, have a terrible sounding horn, and it can only pull fast sped whens its by itself. Sand patch grade was only good for a few months, but then I stopped using it because all the CSX locomotives can only pull 25 mph and forest aren't really my favorite type of environment. I use BNSF ES44C4's the most because they can pull almost anything and dont wheelslip with 25 railcars by itself.

TSW should put more effort into the people and cars in the game.

Just because the games focus is about trains, doesnt mean use the maximum amount of effort on trains and railroads and then half-ass everything thst isnt a rolling junk of steel with a big ass engine in it. Im mainly wondering why they make the NPC's are so stupid or why cars can phase right though the train making the illusion of a train being heavy pointless. I'm also wondering wondering why they use the classic cars and a few modern cars. Its not the 90s anymore bothered shoudk atleast be better roads and MODERN car models.

I wonder if engineers or conductors ever get home from work and search up the train they were just in to see if anybody railfanned then.

Just a thought I have a lot.
