Hiya! So im looking at buying a movink 14 for schoolwork, (animation student) as an upgrade to my current ipad pro. Main reason is the screen on my ipad drives me crazy, its like drawing on ice.

I was wondering what kind of screen the movink 14 has? Would it be the same as any other wacon or cintiq with the special screen that emulates drawing on paper?

The convenience of the movink is intruiging aswell, as i wouldnt need to carry around a computer as well as a moniter if i bought one.

And if anyone has bought one, whats been youre experience with it?

Hiya! third year animation student here, was wondering on the topic of demo reels, how important is it to have camera movement in a portfolio when applying for jobs?

For context im a 2D animation student, so stuff like blender is kinda beyond me, i know you can do basic camera moves like pans and zooms in clip studio and procreate dreams but at the moment im mostly focusing on body mechanics and dialogue for my portfolio, so there are only animations focusing on one shot in my reel.

Do studios have a preference for demo reels that include camera movement? If so, would pans and zooms be enough or would i need to learn more blender mechanics to have a shot at getting hired?

Hi all, was wondering what the climate for secondary art teachers is like at the moment? Im in the middle of getting an art degree (going into year 3) and im interested in doing a pme afterwards. Not sure if this will make any difference but i have a good level of irish as well, went to gaelscoil's my whole life, so maybe that counts as a leg up too.

So i was wondering how difficult it is to get a job as a secondary art teacher in general, I've heard theres an abundance of art teachers at secondary level right now, so lots of competition and few jobs I'd imagine?

Whats been everyones experience with trying to find employment? Any advice appreciated thanks!!

How do the scriptures say to deal with emotions that feel too heavy or intense? I feel overwhelming fear and sadness at times, it can last for days or weeks and makes me feel very hopeless.

Last year i read Robert Wrights book on buddhism and i found its advice the only thing that remotely helped me, I understand that looking at your emotions objectively can help in understanding why you're feeling this way, and choosing not to identify with them, but i still feel them there, kind of sitting on my shoulder, ready to take over my whole brain again at any given moment. Meditation helps stave off the more all consuming panic, but in the aftermath i find myself feeling so lost, like ill be like this forever. It remains hard to focus or find joy in my hobbies when this perpetual sadness and anxiety is always lurking around the corner ready to attach itself to me again.

What would the scriptures say is the next step in combatting these feelings? To make them less of a permanent part of me

Hello so just for some context im 20 and have had terrible posture both while im awake and while sleeping since basically forever. Recently ive been trying to correct said posture with stretches and general posture correction while walking, however ive also been experiencing back of head and top of head headaches for maybe 2 weeks pretty consistently. Is this just my neck adjusting to posture correction after years of bad posture or does it imply something more serious?

Ive tried neck stretches and exercises to get rid of the headaches but they have pretty minimal effect if at all and i dont wanna spend 65 quid for a doctors visit if avoidable haha
