Queer Representation on Campus

Hi! pls no hate or rude comments.

I am considering pursuing a second degree at Queens. I’m a lesbian and I’m in my late 20s. I’m curious to know from other queer students what the community is like at Queens. Are there local events? Clubs? Strong representation on campus? Do you generally feel safe?

Basically, just wanna hear people’s experiences .

Thanks :)

Need POV from Queer Students

Hi pls no hate or rude comments.

I am looking to do a second degree and I am considering Trent. I visited Peterborough a few years back during the pandemic and I remember thinking that the school seemed really cool, but that the town itself was quite conservative and old… (no hate, just an observation).

Anyways, my question is if there is noticeable queer representation on campus? is it LGBTQ+ friendly city? Are there queer grad students? Queer clubs? Queer people visible in different programs/campus spaces/clubs etc? If you are a queer person yourself, do you feel safe?

Curious to hear your experience.

Canada 🇨🇦

I’m applying to a second-degree/bridging program for non-nurses to become a MSc RN in the fall.

I’ve been taking pre-reqs all winter, like bio, chem etc. Since I currently have a BA.

The program I’m applying to asks for a minimum of 70% in pre req classes.

In my BA, I was a mostly low-80s student but in these pre req classes this semester (Gen Chem and Intro Bio) I struggled a bit on the exams. On the exams, the averages were also really low for the most part which makes me think MOST people must not have high grades in these first year intro science courses, right?

I don’t have my grades back yet but I’m just wondering if other people took these courses, and if they found their grades in them impacted their entrance or admission to nursing programs.
