Cross branch dual military? USMC and USAF does it work out?

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some honest advice because I’m really stuck right now.

I’m considering commissioning through either Air Force OTS or potentially USMC OCS, but I’m honestly scared about what it means for my relationship.

My husband is in the Marine Corps and is on the F-35 track. I’m really trying to understand the reality of whether we’d be able to stay near each other if I commission, or if we’ll end up constantly separated.

His possible bases are:
Marine Corps Air Station Miramar
Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort
Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point
Marine Corps Air Station Yuma

I will be doing intel. USAF air stations are a heavy commute…

I’m leaning more toward the Air Force because I like the work/life balance a lot more, and it honestly seems like a better quality of life overall. But at the same time, part of me is thinking about going Marine Corps just to increase the chances that we could be stationed closer together.
The issue is… I don’t even know if I actually want to be a Marine for myself. I feel like I might be considering it more for him and our relationship, and I’m worried that could be the wrong reason to choose a branch like that. I’m not sure what to do.

Married to an Enlisted marine; will we get separated?

**geographically separated

Hey everyone, I’m looking for honest experiences/advice from people who’ve gone through military relationships while pursuing officer programs.

I’m applying for Air Force OTS and my husband is currently enlisted in the Marine Corps.I’m worried that going officer route in another branch could eventually separate us because of assignments, training pipelines, deployments, distance, etc.

For people who’ve been through dual-military relationships (especially different branches), what’s the likelihood of being stationed near or around each other?

He’s air crafts mechanics… and I am interested in intel
