acne

hi everyone. im 17 years old ive had acne since i was like 11. this past year ive been going through probably one of the roughest patches with my acne. i keep getting these big bumps on my chin and i have acne and a bunch of closed comedones on my cheeks. forehead never really gets acne its the only spot that has stayed consistently clear for a few years. i tried birth control from 2024-2025 and back then was when my skin looked its best, but i had to go off of it and then my skin completely went downhill after that 😭 my doctor prescribed me tactupump but i didnt want to buy it at the time as my insurance didnt cover it and it was costing me about 150 to purchase. i decided to not and used tret instead but it damaged my skin barrier and i think i gave up on it on the third month but i honestly don't remember because that was almost a year ago. anyways, now it is july 2026 and i am tired of it and need something. so should i try tretinoin again or tactupump? also i have been using the anua azelaic acid for 12 days now and it has helped with scarring. should i also ask my doctor to prescribe me some medication like spironolactone? i have graduation stuff coming up in october so i want to try to get my acne under control by then but ik these things are a long process. i just need some guidance and advice on what to do from now.

Uneven texture

I have a bunch of these bumps on my cheeks and chin and I have no idea what to use to get rid of them now. I have tried panoxyl, tret, bha exfoliant, glycolic acid, salicylic acid cleanser, i dont know what i should do now. I think i also have a damaged skin barrier so i will be trying only cleanser and moisturizer for a week. but does anyone have any tips/recommendations to get rid of this uneven texture and all these bumps?

Acne - 16yo

Hi! I am almost 17 years old and have had acne since i was 11-12. I posted back in September asking for help with my acne as it was quite severe. I was using tret at the time and everyone suggested that I try tret out for a little bit longer so I did. But unfortunately, it ended up damaging my skin barrier and now I am trying to repair it and fix my skin up. I have a bunch of closed comedones and uneven texture, oily skin, and get redness on my cheeks and chin. I am going to try using just cleanser and moisturizer for a week to see if my skin gets better, but other than that I have no idea what to do. I use either paulas choice pore normalizing cleanser or la roche posay effaclar + m gel cleanser. Since the beginning of my acne, I have used panoxyl, paulas choice bha exfoliant, glycolic acid, tret, and neither worked for me. I am not sure what to do moving forward now.
