Awnings??
Someone else’s mistake got me thinking, do yall retract your awning every night, in case of a storm? Also do you always retract it when you leave? Only open when you are at the camp site.

Anyone know where the inverter on a 2026 Sunset Trail 253RB is located? I’m wanting to upgrade to a lithium battery and wanna see if it’s capable of being switched from acid to lithium or if it’s smart enough to know and do it itself. Found the solar controller and it can be swapped easily.
Thanks
Noob here, so after a small test and some research I’ve come to realize I don’t think the 80ah battery that came with my 2026 Subset Trail 253RB is gonna cut it. The wife and I are planning a 24 day Florida to Yellowstone trip next month and know we will be stopping at rest areas/parking lots/etc and need something that will keep the fridge going over night without worry. Fridge is all that I plan on running(other then the other items that auto come on and I can’t do anything about)
So is it smarter/cheaper/easier to add a second battery or upgrade to a LiFepo4 battery?
Edit: we don’t plan on doing a lot of boondocking, just over night here and there. Mostly camp sites
When you get home from a trip out do you leave the fridge door open so it can dry out and not mold or is it ok to leave it closed?
I’m a lazy sob so I didn’t kill my yard, just took seeds from neighbors/hiking trails/where ever and tossed them in the yard and let Mother Nature do her thing. Took a bit for my wife to give up asking me if I was gonna mow the front yard lol. But now she is totally on board.
This was a new one, rushing to work for an emergency started having smoke coming from under the hood. Pulled over to find the bushings in the AC clutch smoking heavily. Never seen that before. Guess I’m running no AC in June in Florida….yay me lol
Over 200k miles and running 80-85 mph I guess was a bit much for the old rubber
Someone more plant savvy then I, can I pull apart this bromeliad and put it in the gaps of this stump I pulled up but am to lazy to cut up for the trash man to pick up? Or maybe some other plant that would be better suited for direct sun light in north east Florida??
This started recently, goes away after a bit, doesn’t matter hot or cold. Pulled the valve cover and everything seems tight. Need to roll the engine over the check everything properly though. Has great oil pressure, always maxes out the gauge.
Everything is back together, but now it feels like it is stuck in gear(not sure which gear). Push in the clutch and it will roll, but I can’t get the shifter to go into any gear. When not depressing the clutch it won’t move at all. I’m 90% sure I had it in neutral when I removed it originally. I have tried to put the shifter in different locations when installing it but that hasn’t worked. Pic of where the shifter goes thinking maybe someone smarter than me can tell what gear it’s in just looking at it.
Finally finished my clutch change(pilot bearing was a bitch to get out). Of course the last thing I go to install is the power wire to the starter and for the life of me I can’t find the fucking nut. Instead of pulling the starter and taking it with me to ACE I figured I’d ask if anyone knew the thread/pitch for that nut?
Tried the bread trick, going to get a puller now but not sure what it’s gonna grab on to. Never had a bearing this toasted before. There is a fine lip on half of it.
Edit: bearing puller just broke what was left of the lip. All that’s left is the outer part of the bearing. New pic below
