Always appreciated the grim dark tone of the games.

Especially in Resistance 2 how every mission has things go from bad to worse.

- Attempting kill code on Daedalus only for him to escape.
- Invasion of the fleet.
- The breach in Twin Falls whose population has been converted.
- Defeating massive army in Chicago only for Leviathan to appear, even after killing it the whole point in going to Chicago disappears as the tower is remotely activated.
- Huge slaughter in Iceland, losing many troops and half of Echo Team.
- Liberty Defense Perimeter breach and nearly all surviving people in the US are killed.
- In the end the final desperate gambit to destroy the fleet only ends up accelerating the chimeras plans and opens the wormhole
- The best soldier and symbol of hope humanity had, Nathan Hale, has turned and is executed

Also how every squad of soldiers you are with end up being killed, often in gruesome ways, how victorys are so few and how the chimera ultimately view humanity as a resource and nothing more, not even a threat.

It made me realize “man I would HATE living in this universe.”

Waking up constantly with very dry mouth and nose.

Got a Luna 3 CPAP about 18 months ago with a nasal mask, aside from the few weeks of getting used to it, it worked pretty well without issue.

Recently however in the last 3 weeks Ive been having serious trouble. Nasal mask was irritating and drying my nostrils so bad I would often wake up to find dried blood on the mask, switched to a whole nose cover mask and I wake up multiple times with my mouth so dried out my cheeks are stuck to my gums. I have heated tubing and played around with the humidity but its not helping.

Now, I have lost a considerable amount of weight (from 330 to 265 pounds in the last 6 months) is it possible that the weight loss made the apnea better and now the pressure is too high?

How effective is MJOLNIR armor against covenant weapons?

Given how the armor only had shields for the last year or so of the war, that means the spartans had only the armor itself to protect them for over two decades of non stop combat. Given the length of the war and how few spartans there were Im honestly surplus any of them made it all the way to the end, especially without that extra buff from the shields.

Did the armor provide reasonable protection against plasma fire? Or did it melt through it?

How did Lasky become a naval officer if he was at an army academy?

In Forward Unto Dawn, Lasky is attending Corbulo Academy of Military Science which based off the following facts, indicates its an army officer school like West Point and not a naval academy.

- Students are called “cadets” instead of “midshipmen”

- The officer in charge is a General and not an Admiral.

- All of their lessons seem focused on ground combat instead of naval tactics.

But Lasky ends up becoming a naval officer. The UNSC seems to be based off the modern US military in terms of rank and customs so how did this happen?

Why was UNSC so shocked to see Covenant fleet after UPPER CUT?

From my understanding the Long Night of Solace and its accompanying fleet and garrison were at reach for some time. Did the UNSC really think that the covenant had not sent out messages to other fleet’s telling them Reach’s location?

Why were elites allowed to use active camo?

Elites are big on honor and warrior culture. It seems a bit hypocritical that they would use a tool that allows them to be invisible and sneak up on enemies that are already physically and technologically inferior.

I know in lore that Sangheili special ops are looked down on due to their stealthy nature but we see even frontline elites using it throughout the lore.

Adopted sick and old dog, he died 2 weeks later.

Gf and I decided to adopt an old dog, we found this ten year old stray with a menagerie of health conditions, heartworm, URI, malnourishment, alopecia, etc. He was scheduled to be euthanized the day we reached out and adopted him.

He was so happy when he got here, ate a lot, energetic, slept okay, wanted lots of pets.

We noticed he was having trouble breathing really and refusing food and water on Saturday. There are no 24/7 vets where we live.

Yesterday I took him to vet to find out somehow his lungs collapsed and was practically “drowning” in his own fluids, even the 13,000 dollar procedure wouldn’t guarantee a return to quality life due to the severity of the heartworm.

Made the choice to euthanize him, he was in agony, forcing himself to breathe and couldn’t even lay down and sleep. He was leaking fluids out his anus and was severely dehydrated due to refusing water.

I knew due to this age and health conditions he wouldn’t be around long but I hate that we couldn’t give him more than just two weeks. We didnt have him long but it feels like I lost a lifetime long partner.

Not sure what Im looking for, just venting I suppose.

Is being infected by the flood eternal suffering?

I read about how all flood victims have their memories and knowledge absorbed into the Graveminds higher intelligence. Does this essentially mean that even if your infected brain is destroyed from gunfire your ”soul” remains trapped forever in the floods hive mind?

How dead are the dead primarchs?

Spoilers for newcomers.

Between Horus, Sanguinius, Ferrus, Alpharius, and Konrad, are they perma dead?

I know Horus’ soul was essentially erased from existence but what about the others? Do their souls still reside in the warp and could potentially come back or do they now cease to exist?
