I'm married to a Jordanian Muslim, but he rarely practices Islam; he barely even prays during Ramadan. We love each other so much, lol. I married in the USA; I was Christian Orthodox, but the political climate here, along with the Orthodox Church supporting MAGA and Aizee, and the racism within the church, plus their claim that salvation is only in Orthodox Church, made me run far from it. Christianity in the USA has become a joke. I'm not okay with any other Christian denomination either.
My husband is not okay with atheism and he told me that I must define myself. But he strongly dislikes atheist even though he is the least practicing muslim in the world.
Dont know what to do? What am I ?

I want to be clear that I am a strong supporter of our community and Islam, but harmful behavior shouldn't be present, especially with the growth of photography, event planning, and social media within our Muslim community.

She is extremely unprofessional. She'll give you a lot of attention and try to become your friend to gain something for herself. If you're a man, she might try to get you to join her husband's dabke dance group or pressure you to book a zaffa for your wedding. She will also use you to get content to improve her own online presence. Furthermore, she always tries to get invited / or attends Palestinian/Arab related events, even though she doesn't give a flying hoarse about the genocide; she only cares about profiting from the Palestinian cause just like other influencers do, and taking photos of the event to self promote it and acts/ promotes herself like is she the official photographer for the event when she is not.

If you hire her for a photoshoot, she ignores your personal limits, constantly contacting you to force you to agree to her conditions. She doesn't stick to the prices she advertises for her photography. At events like weddings and other community gatherings, she acts friendly just to ask to take your pictures, which she then post on her social media and in her portfolio. In community events , she has taken pictures of hijabis and kids and posts them as her work to her social media accounts without their consent.

If you're nice and agree with her, she'll ask you for your phone number, will try to become friends, ask to meet up or hangout , and ask to photograph you with the professional camera she always has. If you decline to be photographed, she'll turn subtly hostile, criticizing you, your appearance, or your friends present at the event. She sees everything as an issue and gets easily offended, and if you don't meet her demands, she'll create a drama scene. She shows no regard for you as a customer, behaving as if photographing you is a special favor.

I know this is a weird question to ask but kinda have to ask it. Do you guys know anyone in jordan that was living in america and was arrested by ICE and deported? If so how long they were in detention center. Asking because I found out a jordanian person died in an ICE detention center in october 2025 and there are so many jordanians in a inmigration limbo here in US.
People are dying in ICE facilities too so yeah we are worried.

I get that the sacrament administration is very needed but how come I have not seen a single orthodox church opening its doors to helping homeless, people with disabilities or give them economic relief or in weather inclement days shelter people? Didnt jesus told us to help and feed the poor and needy?

I know of mosques that opened their doors to homeless during snowstorms and inclement weather

Tbh this sub opened my eyes and to analyze the behaviours of so many muslim influencers, specially the arab muslimas. Just analyze all of their behaviors and you be able to tell how narcistic they have become. They use islam to gain followers, but their attitudes and behaviors are far from being muslim at all.

Just look at the assad sisters, maryam kudsi, sofia pena, etc etc etc
