hello, my spouse and I will begin TTC next spring. my friend mentioned getting in to see my OBGYN for a pre conception visit in addition to my annual appt. is this necessary?

I mentioned TTC soon to my family med doc in April and they just said that’s fun and didn’t elaborate further on if anything needed to be discussed? I have my annual OBGYN appt this fall and will be removing my long acting birth control then. no pap needed this year and i don’t plan to talk about other concerns. I’m generally quite healthy and low risk as of now. is there really a need to make a separate appointment for pre conception health talks or can I just expect it to be alright to bring up to the doc at my annual? I am just confused by her advice Thanks.

Hi I’m looking for fellow CPSTs! I received my CPST cert last fall and am finally getting around to helping out at my first check event (outside of the training one) next week and I am super excited. However I seem to have forgotten what to do after the check event. Wasn’t there something about having to with the forms we fill out? Don‘t I upload that information somewhere? or is that just for seats I want to go towards my recert? also, does an instructor/instructor proxy have to look over the seats when I am done or is that also just for recert seats?

I am hoping I can be paired with other CPSTs for the first family or so to get my bearings back under me but I don’t know how many other techs will be there & if that will be possible!

I am so sorry if these are dumb questions. I just want to get this right. Thank you to all more experienced CPSTs & instructors for all your help!!!
