OnePlus 13R outgoing calls connect but no audio from either side

I am facing a very frustrating calling issue on my OnePlus 13R, and it has been happening consistently during normal carrier calls.

Whenever I make an outgoing direct cellular call, after the other person receives the call, neither of us can hear each other. There is complete silence from both sides. To make the call work properly, I have to disconnect and call again. Sometimes I even need to make the call a third time before the audio finally works.

However, this problem only happens with outgoing regular cellular calls. Incoming calls work normally.

I never face this issue when:

  • Someone else calls me first
  • Using WhatsApp calls
  • Using Messenger calls
  • Using internet-based calling apps

I have already tried several troubleshooting steps, including:

  • Switching from Google Dialer to Truecaller Dialer
  • Resetting network settings
  • Disabling 5G and using 4G/LTE only
  • Rebooting the device multiple times
  • Turning VoLTE on/off for testing

Unfortunately, none of these solutions fixed the issue.

At this point, it seems like there may be a problem related to VoLTE, IMS, carrier compatibility, modem firmware, or OxygenOS call routing during outgoing calls.

This issue is becoming very inconvenient in daily use, especially during important calls. I would really appreciate if the OnePlus team or other users could help identify the cause or suggest a proper fix.

Device Information:

  • Device: OnePlus 13R
  • Carrier: Airtel
  • OxygenOS Version: CPH2645_16.0.5.701(EX01B50P02)
  • Android Version: 16
  • Security Patch: March 1, 2026

Has anyone else experienced the same issue?
