I’m an incoming Area Manager. After completing AD1 and AEW training, my work schedule will be Wednesday-Sunday 6:30PM-5AM.
This is my first “real” job and first time being a manager or working a shift like this.
Is this a good schedule? Please give me all the tips, tricks, insight, information you have!
I have AD1 training next week in Arlington and I got 2 conflicting emails regarding it. One email was from my recruiter saying to report to my home site to collect onboarding materials like a laptop before going to my hotel in Arlington. I thought the wording was weird. Then I got another email about AD1 specifically confirming my flight and hotel but it also says no laptops will be distributed, only a badge will have to be picked up.
I’m not sure if the email from my recruiter was a typo/error or if she/they actually expect me to drive to my home site before my flight to AD1. Everyone is now out of office, won’t be replying to emails etc for the holiday/weekend.
I don’t have a work laptop. I don’t know if I should’ve picked one up or anything because this is the first time ever in any email that has talked about a work laptop or picking up onboarding materials. I travel to AD1 in a couple of days.
I accidentally posted an embarrassing video (3minutes, so it posted as several clips) to my story. It was up for a minute then deleted it. One person saw one clip, but I don’t know if others saw different clips while I was deleting.
Once a story is deleted, is it truly gone for everyone immediately? Is there any chance someone who started watching still sees it?
Second, after this, I blocked almost everyone. Does blocking notify people? Do they lose old messages too or can they still see them? What exactly shows on their end when I’ve blocked them? I want to fully understand what they see BOTH story wise AND blocking wise.
