Someone said this game only looks good in sunset/sunrise after 0.39, do you agree?

I strongly disagree

Since update 0.39 came out, I've only been playing Beamng for the stunning graphics.

I used to enjoy racing, rallying, and high-speed crashes...but now I'm only cruising and having fun driving slow at different times of the day just for the beautiful view. Gotta say graphics wise, the devs nailed it with this update

People with these cards(in description), did you feel the need to upgrade to Nvidia's 5000 cards and AMD's 9000 cards for 1440p gaming?

Nvidia: 3080ti, 3090, 3090ti, 4070 ti, 4070 super

AMD: 6800xt, 6900xt, 6950xt, 7800xt, 7900gre,7900xt

Not gonna mention cards like 4080, 4080 super, 4090, 7900xtx because they're still better than any Nvidia and AMD current gen cards except the 5080 and 5090.

These two setttings have the biggest impact on performance, would you turn them down/off for 20-30 extra fps ? or max them out for slightly better visuals?

So I've been tinkering with graphics settings and found out that going from ultra to high on shadow resolution increases my frames by 10-15FPS. However, going from high to normal resulted in a very negligible increase (3 FPS tops). As for dynamic reflections, turning that off also gave me around 10-15 more fps. All other settings didn't seem to have a major impact on performance when tuned down, and they roughly provided 1 to 2 FPS boost. ( Bear in mind, I have 16 GB of VRAM. GPUs with 8 GB of VRAM or less may deliver different results)

With that said, would you keep these two settings on/ maxed out for a slightly better image quality or would you choose a significant FPS boost?
