My experience switching from Apple to Samsung
My first smartphone was the iPhone 5 for my birthday from my mother. Since then, I've had from the iPhone 5 to the iPhone 8 Plus to the iPhone 13 Pro Max to the iPhone 17 Pro Max. I only had the 17 Pro Max for a few months because I went to my home country to visit and ended up gifting my little cousin my 17 Pro Max as a graduation gift. When I got back to the States, I ended up trying out the Galaxy S26 Ultra figuring if I didn't like it, I could return it within the return window. I ended up living this phone more than I ever thought I would. A few things I really like:
Customizability - really love how I can really set this phone up and it's layout in any way that I want
Battery Life - the 17 Pro Max battery is great but this phone's battery is also great. I honestly go a whole day from work 7 am to 4 pm and I do Uber on the side for 2-3 hours a night as well in one full charge from 100%. By the time I get home at night I'll have 20-25% left over
The Camera - I'm not much of a photographer or know much about photos and what makes a photo look good or not, but I've really enjoyed taking photos with this phone. The zoom really crazy!
The overall look - I really like the vertical camera layout a lot. That's all I can really say about it
Fast Charging - I was really shocked at how fast the phone was charging when I first got it. Super convenient.
Additional Buttons - Idk how this works but I have the Pitaka case which comes with additional buttons on the side that I can map to do what I want it to do which is really convenient.
All in all, I really enjoy the switch. Will I ever go back to Apple? I don't know but I see me with my S26 U for the time being. Curious to hear your thoughts and experiences if you've made the switch yourself!
