Feeding time for growing Discoids!

I hadn't even put the food down for ten seconds and the nymphs started swarming it. I can only imagine how it'll look at night. XD

Resplendent Rapunzel is too bright

I ran into this graphic issue. Not sure how to fix it. It only seems to be on this map though.

Missing Additional Pacts???

Some Additional Pacts seem to be missing from my game. Everything is up to date and I double checked the available DLC.

Do I need to unlock them by playing the Pacts or something? If not, is the DLC for these Pacts available anywhere?

Mind’s Eye not working

Does anybody else have the issue where Mind's Eye doesn't let you see the current health of the monster or any life shards in the area? It's making the exploration packs borderline impossible.

I'm using Vita3k.

My first real enclosure!

I made this for my leopard gecko, Treecko. Honestly, I didn’t know what I was doing, so I'm sorry if it looks like shit.

I included the list of what's in the enclosure in the screenshots. I also established powder blue isopods, common white springtails, mealworms, and superworms.

Isopods for a Discoid colony?

I'm trying to find a CUC for my feeder Discoid roach colony. After getting some DOA isopods from online stores, I decided to just buy one of small batch cultures locally.

Unfortunately, I chose Dairy Cows and added them to the enclosure before learning that they eat other insects, and now I'm afraid of them eating the Discoid nymphs. But that's assuming they're still alive since I didn't let the population grow first.

\*If\* the Dairy Cows are dead, what isopod should I use for a Discoid roach colony? Or should I not use isopods at all?

Found these in my vermicompost bin

I live in Citrus Springs, Florida.

EDIT: I put a still frame in the replies.

Experimenting with my Discoid Colony

I got tired of receiving presumably dead isopods and springtails in the mail, so I decided to just get some from DoorDash, which I probably should’ve just did to begin with. I also decided to get some mealworms and superworms because I guess I'm just *that* frustrated with trying to find a clean up crew.

I'll put them all in my bioactive Discoid colony and see what happens. I think that enclosure is slowly becoming a general "feeder insect" environment. XD

What is the temperature threshold for isopods?

My stupid self forgot to check the mailbox and my poor isopods were stuck in the heat for two days. I added the culture to my enclosure anyway just in case, but I didn't see any movement.

The temperature in Florida can reach over 90 degrees Fahrenheit (32 degrees Celsius) this time of year, and I know isopods are tropical, but they were sent with an ice pack for a reason. Exactly how much heat can an isopod take before it dies?

Where do you get your isopods and springtails?

I recently got two different kinds: one from The Bio Dude and one from Dubia. Both came with isopods that *seem* to be dead and springtails I can’t even see.

Are they supposed to look like that? I hope so, because I would hate to learn that I'm getting DOAs because Florida is just too hot for them this time of year.

How do you take your inositol?

With food? Without food? Just water? Something that isn’t water?

How to add springtails from a clay culture?

I recently made a bioactive enclosure for my feeder roaches. This was my first bioactive enclosure ever, so when I got the springtails, I wasn't sure how to add them.

I just put my gloves on, scooped the clay with my finger, and put the clay under the roaches' egg shell cartons. I also sprayed the clay down for good measure.

Was this what I was supposed to do? I'm afraid I did something wrong.

If you're on inositol, how much do you take?

I have insulin resistance, hirsutism, weight gain, depression, and anxiety. My periods became regular after finishing my medroxyprogesterone.

On top of that, I bought 500 mg capsules of myo-inositol recently. I take one daily with my spironolactone.

I've been thinking of taking more but I don't know if I should. I've seen somebody claim to take 1000 mg of the stuff and another person suggested taking 2000 or even 4000.

Are juvenile isopods and springtails microscopic?

I just finished my bioactive enclosure for my feeder roaches, including isopods and springtails. Thing is, I didn't see either in either culture.

I think I saw *one* isopod but it was dead. And I couldn’t see any springtails at all, but the pictures I've seen suggest it's supposed to look like that for now.

I live in Florida, so I'm worried that they died of the heat before they got here. If they're still alive, are they still juvenile and just so tiny that I can't see them?

What's the Difference Between GLP1s and Zepbound?

I'm asking because I just made an appointment to start a weight loss program. The options are GLP1s for 12 weeks ($390) and Zepbound for 4 weeks ($227).

Before I start investing in either, I’m wondering what the difference is between them. Generally, I heard Zepbound works better, but I wanted to hear from other people about their experience with them.

Does diet and exercise even work?

This is something of a follow-up to my previous post on this subreddit. I appreciate the replies I got over there, but there's something I'm not understanding.

I'm not denying that less food and more exercise is just healthier for everybody, but I find it strange how many people swear up and down that it's the key to alleviating PMOS symptoms when people on this very subreddit have claimed to have gained weight even while eating a healthy diet and living an active lifestyle. And then there's the people who claim that going on GLP1s helped them lose weight without changing anything.

As for me, while I was living with my health nut of a grandmother, I was going to the gym and went through plenty of diet restrictions. More veggies and protein, less carbs and sugar, all that jazz.

I was also made to sit in saunas and steam rooms, and even forced to walk in the Florida summer heat with a "sweat suit" (or whatever it's called) on so I would sweat the fat out. None of it helped and I was blamed for not trying hard enough.

In terms of my personal diet nowadays, I hardly eat anything at all, let alone junk food. I'd be lying if I said all the foods I *do* eat are healthy and/or have no carbs/sugar, but I'm not having desserts after every meal either.

There's also the metformin I'm on. It makes me feel nauseous, so I'm definitely eating less anyway; in fact, eating sweet things makes me even *more* nauseous.

As for exercise, I'm not completely sedentary since I have to walk the dogs I watch as a pet sitter, but I can't walk for long because my back starts cramping at some point. I imagine it's because of my gut weighing me down, so it feels like I'm stuck in this loop of "you need to exercise to lose weight" and "I can’t exercise because of my weight".

So if my body is just gonna gain weight anyway, what's the point of making myself miserable trying to lose it? Again, I'm not saying diet and exercise don't matter at all; I know it does and if I ate more calories, my symptoms would get worse.

But with me specifically, it certainly feels like diet and exercise just doesn't work and the closest I've gotten to getting results was going on metformin and spironolactone. That's why I'm gonna try going on GLP1s and see if it helps.

Trying to Counter Ant Raids

Whenever one of my feeder Discoids dies, a bunch of ants come and start eating their body. I have no idea how to prevent this.

I’m considering making my Discoids a bioactive enclosure, but I don't know if it'll alleviate the ant problem or make it worse. Does anybody else have this problem?
