Totally new to this at 39 years old. Have a work 401k going with matching. Would it be worth rolling portions of that in to a self directed roth ira? Have been doing homework and just wondering the best avenue to get myself going. Looking to invest in a blend of world and US based index funds and let it build. Thanks for any input!

Has anyone here done the loop this season that would care to comment on how the trail is looking? I'm looking to do this loop with my wife this fall and I'm just wondering if there's any serious issues that have sprung up like blow downs or new beaver dams. Did angleworm last year and absolutely loved it. Weather permitting I'm looking forward to another great hike. Thanks for any input!
