This lto deal is confusing

On my POS screen itll say: 5.99 meal but wont let me select chip and drink. Even my boss is confused so we just let them get the chips and drink anyway. Is it a glitch or is it not a meal deal?

Is there a way to update the site?

So the other day right before I was clocking out(dayshift) I saw an order for delivery with a balance due mind you theres only 2 people on nightshift and neither have a car (I dont either). So I call the lady up and tell her due to us not having a night shift driver she will need to go ahead and pay her balance so we can third party it to ubereats. Youd think I called her the b word the way she went off on me. She was like “this is some ghetto shit and completely unprofessional. Yall need to update your site. I shouldnt have to use my card if I dont want to.” I politely proceeded to tell her “maam I apologize for the inconvenience but I only work here I am not in charge of the website” she told me cancel the order and that was it. But please let me know if theres a way to update the site.

Got my first corporate complaint🤣 Tell me some of your craziest complaints

Well technically he didn’t name drop me but apparently he was angry because he saw a lot of containers out as we were cleaning out the cold table. Because like I said in my last post I pulled over 15 hours doing a double on Sunday and when I do my nightshift I clean out the cold table and restock my line. Im not about to inconvenience myself by putting all the dirty bins back because this nosy man is looking all over my kitchen. And I always tell folks hey sorry if it looks crazy back here just closing down and they understand. Thats why I wish we had more privacy like McDonald’s or Wendy’s . Hell we don’t even have a private employees only door or anything.

P.S he was nice too didnt complain at all when I was there even sat and ate but then went online secretly to complain. I think thats why it caught me off guard a little

How to stop being nervous around the higher-up?

Ok so when im by myself I can stretch beautiful bread and have gotten compliments. But today the area manager came and as cool as she is I get nervous/performance anxiety and mess up trying NOT to mess up. How do I fix that? It sounds silly but Im a solo kind of girl and having eyeballs on me just makes me nervous. Hope im not alone in this.
She doesn’t get mad or anything but I feel so dumb especially when I know i can do better and HAVE.😖😖

Have any of you dealt with a “smile more” customer?

This old man got snippy with my inshop saying “he should smile more” “I gotta watch him he seems shifty, I might not make it home alive” and “I don’t like the way hes handling my wrap his energy is off”. He kept making underhanded comments to me about him and trying to find problems with his thai wrap but I had personally made it after taking his order and only had my inshop wrap it. I guess he got the hint that no one was gonna take the low road and get offended so he left.
I mean I know we have to be nice but if not smiling means that we’re trying to poison food then oh well lol

P.S he was one of those that thinks he’s whispering but hes not so everyone could hear his snide remarks and then he acted surprised when my inshop refused to interact with him further.

The whole point interaction was so ridiculous we all laughed about it later

Crazy customer. Also tell your craziest customer stories.

So I politely said hey how are you what are you having today? And he went off me talking about some Im being impolite and something about Im making a question not a statement. Uh what? I literally tried to take his order but he kept refusing to tell me what he wanted saying “I dont have to tell you anything you should just know” so before I popped off on him (especially since it was my first day back since I decided to come back to my old location) I just asked my gm to deal with him and he was rude to her. she refused his service and told him to get out because shes not about to go back and forth with someone. He was too much yall. Like I don’t even care that he was rude but who tf comes in a restaurant and refuses to tell a server what sub they want yet they want to be serviced?? Like whoo??

Ill be real I cant remember all what he said but it was along the lines of “You’re making a question not a statement” and some other bs. I had to walk away because my facial expression was going beyond resting bish face and giving I might slap you vibes. I never dealt with no one like this.

Stepping down but Im actually happy.

READ MY LAST POST TO UNDERSTAND THIS ONE/MY SITUATION. THANK YOU😊** **

So the store is on its final strike and my managers realized they put too much on me too soon by making me the gm. I had just become an assistant manager after only being a nighttime p.i.c so there was so much I didn’t know. Im not saying Ill never be a gm again but next time I’m gonna accept it because I KNOW im ready and not that I THINK im ready. I need time to be able to be better at this instead of jumping straight in. So im going back to my old location and I’m only losing out on 2 dollars ($17 hourly training now $15 as an assistant). Please understand that I did this for my mental health. No upgrade is worth the trouble if you’re miserable and constantly overworked trying to save a dying store (read my last post) when you’ve barely been a manager for a week(like im not even kidding i literally became a gm after a week of being an assistant, probably should’ve realized that was fishy). I was in waaaay over my head. I’ll take this opportunity to learn more about the system rather than jumping straight into the deep end. Ive been pulling over 12 hours everyday there cleaning and whatnot and im tired. I dont care about the money I care about my sanity. Next time…I’ll do this right and READY. Thank you for understanding and please be kind in the comments.

Brightside at least my next check will be FAT.

Im turning a store around & Im exhausted

Between training and hitting over 10 hours, 5% sleep, no days off yet and an upcoming audit in 2 weeks as a brand new gm after the last one was fired is getting to me. But even though it’s getting better I just have to hope and pray that we pass. Ive been deep cleaning the store as much as I can along with helping my inshop. Scary thing is this store is on strike 2 if we fail the store is shutting down and itll be my fault because Im the gm. Im really trying…

Also I was so exhausted I sliced my finger. Never thought that would happen

Im losing it and I’m sorry

This lady got insanely mad. Should I just refund her?

I was in the back doing paperwork but she started going off on my Asst. Manager saying all subs should come in a box and all the places shes been to put her sub with an whole pickle, guacamole (we dont have gauc we have avo)!& drink in a box. I explained to her that a box lunch doesn’t come with a whole pickle & that you have to tell us its a box lunch. She started going off saying that shes always gets it in a box. She left after we all politely told her to leave but not before saying “Im not gonna argue with a bunch of lowlife sandwich artists “ & “yo mama”. I almost laughed. This 50 year old woman cussing us out with yo mama jokes. But they did warn me its a lot of unstable people here so I’m in for a ride.
Also she got pissed because we bagged her order for her most people get mad that you dont bag it. I- Im surviving off a redbull rn

Fellow gms, Any tricks of the trade?

So store wise I can hold it down for the most part(still gotta lot to learn). I still have to work on my authority voice(it’s getting there) especially since I’m in charge and not just shift leading for a night. But I want any advice from my fellow gms on how to spruce up my store, and any tips/tricks on remembering all this digital stuff like inventory, ordering, and sales counting without thinking about it. I already know cmx, wasting, and organizing my weekly countdowns. This will be my second day as a gm(in training) so any advice will be helpful. I want to keep this blessing going. Thank you.

I asked ChatGPT but I want your take.

So heres my story. I grew up taking care of my family and not going out much so by the time I became an adult I had major fomo and depression. About 3 years ago (Im 26) I moved to the big city by myself and in the span of those 3 years I dealt with heartbreak, homelessness, abuse(verbally & financial), depression & poverty. Then I got myself a job at a restaurant(did small jobs before)for the very first time about 2 years ago. I have been promoted 3 times at my job & now I’m gonna oversee my own store (general manager). Not too mention Im about to move into my very first apartment ever. And wanna know when this good news all happened? On the day my period (TMI sorry) came on during the full moon. So I wanna know if this is just coincidence like chatgpt says or if theres a deeper meaning because it seems like the moon is very powerful.

If this helps my sun: sag moon: aries rising: Virgo.

TLDR: greater things are happening for me since the full moon. Coincidence or destiny? Also is it Sagittarius season im still learning the whole retrograde thing
