almost everyone already knows this IP already from the games or the stacked cdramas, so it's also no surprise why so few people would even watch the donghua, a repeated and unfinished story at that, that's also 'lower quality' and not even close to completed

but also a big part I think is that it's an IP that doesn't really appeal to the younger donghua audience, mind you, the game and cdrama came out in the 00s, which was a time of peak popularity for this IP, so this story is definitely very old fashioned now
