I did my own test with sterile processes. I inoculated one back following no protocols other than washing my hands. I inoculated the other bags in a sterile manner .
The one bag seems contaminated, wasn’t really surprising. It isn’t green though. I would argue it’s bluish. It could be bruising but I have separated it from the others.
What was surprised that he was one of my sterile bags actually turned mushy at the bottom but seems to still be colonizing at the top. I suspect this one will be failing too.

After the second or third flush I accidentally broke the cake. I saw a lot of “food”. If a cake is stalling out, would it be worth trying to break up the cake a little it a let it recolonize?
Is there any benefit to adding more coir to help with shrinkage after flushes?
