Is sustainability becoming one of the best career pivots for experienced professionals?

I've noticed more professionals talking about moving into sustainability, ESG, climate tech, sustainability reporting, and corporate responsibility roles.

Many organizations are increasing their focus on sustainability initiatives, reporting requirements, and long-term environmental strategies. At the same time, many professionals seem to be searching for more meaningful work.

For people already working in sustainability:

Which backgrounds transition most successfully?
Are certifications actually valuable?
What skills are most in demand right now?
Is the job market as strong as people think?

Curious to hear perspectives from those already working in the field.

Season 1 was good, but Season 2 feels way more real and intense.

Curious what others think — did you like Season 1 more or Season 2?

Just a few weeks ago Punjab Kings were the talk of IPL 2026. Top of the table. Playing aggressive cricket. Looking like genuine title contenders.
And then... this happened.

3 consecutive losses. Just like that.
The most painful part? These weren't close losses where we fought till the end. We gifted games away with:

Dropped catches (3 in a single game vs SRH alone)
Inconsistent batting collapses
Bowlers leaking runs at crucial moments

Connolly has been an absolute warrior — 107* off 59 vs SRH practically solo. But one man cannot win you a T20 game.

Come on PBKS Team, we want the IPL trophy this time.

I work with people navigating career transitions and I'm genuinely curious what the experience looks like from the other side.

Most people I meet have spent months applying with little traction not because they're unqualified, but because they haven't figured out how to tell their story for a new industry.

What I've noticed: people rarely need more qualifications. They need a clearer narrative, a stronger personal brand and a smarter approach to networking. But that's my lens.

What actually helped you when you made a significant career change? A coach, a community, doing it solo, something else entirely? And if you worked with a career transition coach, what was the experience actually like?

Genuinely asking. Would love to hear real stories.
