What do you think of smoking culture being a result of Western Imperialism?
Watched a Western documentary detailing that the deadliest company is a Chinese Tobacco company, but it further dives into Chinese culture of prevalent smoking and is traced back to the Opium Wars. Which is odd.. But it seems smoking became part of the culture.
I, as a young highschooler when I went to China, literally on day 1 a janitor offered me cigarettes lol I was shocked.
What are your thoughts on this?
