Brand new to NV/Thermal. Should I just skip all the research and impulse buy a GF31?

My thought process:
*Thermal is necessary/clutch for spotting humans/animals
*Clip on thermals aren’t nearly as good
*Downsides of digital NV don’t seem to apply much if at all here since the latency is so low and the thermal compliments the night vision and such a way that it makes up for some of the short falls.

*I saw videos also where someone had dual NVG tubes, but with the clip on the thermal, but the thermal capabilities seemed very weak compared to a dedicated fusion
* I saw a video where the set up was one tube was night vision and the other tube was thermal, which seemed pretty cool, but it doesn’t seem to work as well together since each eye looking at different things. The one cool thing I saw them do, though is that they would pop the thermal tube off their helmet and then pop it onto their rifle pretty quickly, which seems like a cool feature.
* it just seems like a really good plug-in play option. A few years ago, I had done some tactical training with guys who had been doing NVG stuff and they all complained that it was such a pain figuring out which mounts go with which tubes and helmets and getting everything working well together just get it all set up.
* from Grok: “The GF31 runs pure night vision at up to 100 frames per second. In outline mode the night vision side stays at 100 fps while the thermal overlay is limited to 50 fps, and full fusion mode drops both to 50 fps. That 50 fps figure is standard for thermal sensors and feels smooth with no noticeable lag for walking or scanning,”

Anyone seen this? Thoughts? (tl;dr inside)

I want an MP5K clone AOW (my state AOW the only option if I want to collapse the stock. Seems like Century Arms is good to go? I take it reviews dated from the past year are much better than older ones.

In case you haven’t been following;
He’s an MP5 guy and just did a 6000 round review of the PTR. It did poorly, he had to replace a variety of parts and then send it to them to get fixed. Didn’t like the hand guard that came with it.

He did this second in an on going series. He says after 500rd break in it ran flawless and was indistinguishable from a regular SP5.

I have an opportunity to buy an SP5 but I’d rather get this, save the money, plus it looks like I can get the AP5K in RAL8000.

What do you like better: AXG frame or Wilson Combat XMacro? (NJ Freedom Celebration)

Within the next few days, I’ll be allowed to buy greater than 10 round mags in my state. I love my 365 and 365XL (WC modules) but I’m gonna need either an X macro or AXG to take advantage of these sweet 17rd mags!!!

I love my Wilson combat grip modules, but I feel like an aluminum frame would be pretty sweet. Especially since you can get them in coyote now which is more my color scheme.

Help me with a pro con list

ZB Champion Level! PS5

It got a lot easier once I stopped picking fights with everyone and started being sneaky and landing places with good loot where I could pick and choose my fights.

But considering I just got the game a month ago I’m feeling good about my progress.

EDIT: I got to Unreal!!! Had to play like a rat and my eyes hurt but I got it done lmao

What do you think about GPA and why are so many clubs switching from IDPA to GPA?

For those that don’t know

https://galacticpistolalliance.com
“Half the rules, twice the fun!”
But for me it’s fun to be competitive with a pistol that I might actually carry.

There’s already places near me that have USPSA so I was excited to find a club near me that does IDPA so I could be competitive with my daily carry and not have to use a gamer gun. They’re switching to GPA soon which is essentially all gamer guns holsters like USPSA and no PCCs. It’s even worse in 10rd states as there are only two divisions: optic and no optic.

I suppose the guy that runs the matches likes it better because it’s easier or something with less rules?

Edit: reading the rules. No power factor rule so another substantial advantage if you’re willing to drop money and time on reloading and recoil spring tuning.

Edit 2: Three clubs in my state have switched. There are no IDPAs in my area once this last one is finalized. I may try to fight it if I can but I’m a new member.

I just got the game a few weeks ago. Worth it to get the battlepass?

I don’t like the rock and I have a cool skin. I’m already high level from binge playing. Is there some advantage I’m missing out on?

Edit: yeah it’s seeming like it’s just cosmetics. No special islands or weapons or anything I guess. I always felt like it was worth it in Warzone.
I’m not cheap I have vbucks I just feel like I’d rather wait till that terminator skin comes back or whatever haha

New Record! I’m feeling good about my improvement.

Does it say in the stats anywhere what your highest kill game or win is for the season? CoD did that which is cool.

Just wanted to share. Just got the game a few weeks ago. I’ve been doing a lot of aim training island to get better. Switching back and forth between Chaos and Thunderburst. Shooting people midair from Gauntlet uppercut. I gotta work in slide shots and shockeavw jump shots next.

Overall I think this game is a lot of fun. It doesn’t take itself too seriously.

I do a ton of accuracy training on the aim training islands with controller and my sensitivity settings are set to what all the streamers are using.

But some of the drills like the shotgun flick drill standards on keyboard and mouse are substantially harder on controller than keyboard and mouse. This isn’t a skill issue. This is very easily testable.** **

I know in Warzone they try to make it more competitive for controllers by giving a lot of aim assist.

Thoughts?
