Brumbies running by tent??

I was camping recently in high country Vic. I woke up early hours of the morning (still dark) and swear I heard heaps of wild brumbies galloping past. I woke up in the morning and couldn’t tell if I imagined it. My husband takes something to sleep at night, so he heard nothing. Has anyone else experienced this? I know that they’re out there, I’ve never seen one though and thought it odd that so many would run by our tent. Did I dream it?

MIL made Mother’s Day plans without me.

I posted this on Facebook but the comments got turned off:

My mother in law has organised a Mother’s Day breakfast for herself and invited my husband but not me. No mention of me when she invited him, and she has not told me about it or mentioned it at all. We don’t have a great relationship, we are polite to each other when we see each other but we both have our issues with each other. Has anyone else experienced this? I just thought this was so rude and I wouldn’t want to go now that she’s excluded me. I’ve made plans with my child for the day, but I know a lot of my friend’s partners spend Mother’s Day with them. Am I in the wrong to be upset that we’re not going to be together on the day? I get that I’m not his mum lol, but I am still a bit disappointed we won’t be spending it together.

I want to be clear, I have no issue with my husband spending time with his mum on Mother’s Day at some point. I’m annoyed that she’s just made plans for breakfast without checking if we wanted to spend Mother’s Day morning together first, and without any thought of me, as a mum myself.
