Quirky hotel recommendations?

So it's my 30th in a couple of months and usually I take myself abroad (I'm not one for birthdays haha), but this year, as much as I'd love to go abroad, I'm fed up of being alone (I just end up wishing I was with someone). Even though I'd still be on my own, I'd just feel better being at home- that being said, I'm after some recommendations for hotels in England...

I do love a hotel room. Even better if it's a quirky hotel (not meaning 18+😉 hotels before people start suggesting 😂)- I did see the FFoulkes Spa hotel, which is a possible option. Something a bit different, but not horrifically expensive (I'm aware everyone's idea of horrifically expensive varies- ideally something less than £200pn, and even that is pushing it for me 😂).

Something quirky, something a bit different, something that has something novelty about it (fun vibes, rooftop pool, swim up bar, platform to feed giraffes- obviously not all realistic (apart from the crazy prices West Midlands Safari park room haha) but you get the gist). 😊

Thanks in advance

Hi!

So just over a month ago, I had a small white filling done (unfortunately it was one of those that needed to be done even though I wasn't having any pain or discomfort prior to it being done).

So after a few weeks, I was still experiencing discomfort (sensitivity to hot and cold, sharp pain when eating with that tooth- not unbearable pain ie. Not keeping me awake at night, but enough for me to avoid eating on that side of the mouth).

I rang the dentist and they said that they wanted to see me to try and rectify the issue. Initially the dentist put on some sort of glue or gel on top of the filling (set with UV), to see if that would work, which it didn't. This dentist said that my regular dentist had done a great job (visually, looking at the filling), but said that it obviously needed sorting. I've always had great experiences with my dentists here and have been going there for years, so it's not a post suggesting they've done anything wrong (and the place where I go is highly recommended, as are all the dentists there).

I went back the week after, to be seen by my regular dentist, she took x-rays (to see if anything else was going on, or if the nerve had been affected, which it doesn't look like) and told me how we were going to try and deal with it.

She removed the filling and temporarily replaced it with 'putty' (not the technical term, but one for me to understand haha) to see if that would calm the irritation. I went back last Monday to have the filling replaced, however I'm still experiencing the same.

I'm obviously going to leave it for at least a couple of weeks to see if it's just irritation from having it worked on... I've just never had this with a filling before.

It feels like my tooth is full (I don't know how else to describe it... I obviously know that there is a filling in there, but I notice it, where as with the other teeth that I've had fillings in, I don't- it feels like the filling is part of them). I also struggled to floss between that tooth and the one next to it. I went to floss, but a lot of pressure built up as I tried to bring the string up between the teeth. I managed to do it in the end, but it wasn't pleasant.

Still experiencing sensitivity and a little pain when eating (feels a little better than the first filling).

She said if this doesn't work, the only other thing would be a root canal, which I really don't want.

I just can't believe I've had this hassle from a tooth that felt fine prior 😕

Thought I'd, on the rare occasion, treat myself to some Cadbury's chocolate... What the hell have they done to my beloved Time Out bars?! Why can I still see wafer?!

I knew Cadbury's had gone downhill, but this is a travesty. Not sure if this is just a UK issue (I've heard Cadbury's in Australia is better?)...
