Is there anything the boys have done that you would consider "scary" or "creepy"? Within reason of course

As a teenager I always got a semi scary vibe from "The sound of the atom splitting", lots of high pitched unsettling sounds and what sounded to teenage me as screams in the song, I'd say that's PSB scariest song

Also, 'You know where you went wrong" has a bit of a jumpscare sound at the very end of the song

What are some examples for you?

I've been rewatching a lot of PSB singles on youtube and It boggles my mind that "Monkey Business" is a single, find it bland to even be a B side and Neil saying to the camera "im a chimpanzee" made it look extra silly lol

Hello! I got a Tonasket 360 for free and already RGH it successfully, only problem is that the dvd drive (DG 162DS) wont read anything, bought a new laser (removed the solder blob) and it's the same story spins the disc once, laser comes up and stops trying to read, refuses to read audio cds too, havent tried dvd movies

Now, this console has evidence of having been opened before (some drive screws are missing) and I suspect someone tried to change the drive for another of the same model but it didnt work and ended discarding the console

Now im reading that the dvd key needs to match so it may need reflashing? Do you think this may be the problem?

How can I marry this dvd drive to the motherboard? Any way to do it without having to use a JR programmer?

One thing that mildly annoys me is when I watch young people reactions to Terminator 2 on YouTube, pretty much all the time we get to hasta la vista baby, people go "woooooooooo!!!!! Yeaaah get him arnold" or "omggggg he said the famous lineee hahhaha" or "hahaha that was funny"

I remember when I saw T2 in the theater the first time my mind instead went to "ohh..... He's using the line john taught him for when he wanted to get rid of someone O_O" if you think about it it's a bit of a lore/world building moment for the T800, it was setup early in the movie and it's paying off now, im yet to see one person mentioning that, instead all we get is "OMGGGGG HE SAID THE LINEEEEE SO AWESOMEEEEEEEEEE" lol

This is my favorite console, best of all time, so I try to keep it in tip top shape, works pretty well and since I heard advice online that recapping wasnt necessary since sony used great quality caps, I never did it

Well today I bit the bullet and recapped the entire board just for the hell of it:

Noticeable Changes:

1. Color is A LOT BETTER, I was kinda used to how it looks, a touch dull and thought it maybe was my CRT but no, playing on Svideo colors are noticeably better, more saturation and intensity

2. All of my CDR games work now, I have a lot of cdr games in a wide variety of CDR brands and qualities for experimentation. after touching up the pot I got it to read like 90% of cdrs, after lubing everything up in the motor it went up to like 95% reading compatibility, with some skips on crappy discs, well now with recapping im yet to find a CDR that skips even a little, im at 100% reading compatibility as of now

Placebo changes

1. Audio is a bit better??? this is the audiophile model and while it has always sound good, I think it sounds a bit clearer now??? completely subjective and maybe my imagination

2. Console is overall faster? Maybe related to the CD laser improvements but I feel the console is faster, everything opens like 5%-7% faster than before? Feels like it loads correctly every single time and before they may have been re reads making everything slightly slower

In short, if you are on the fence about it just go for it, recap your PS1, even if it's working fine!
