OUCH! Just got my electric bill
Man, I know it's been hot but this is crazy. Not as high as one of my bills back in the winter though. March was the highest bill I ever got in my life, and I'm old.

Situation: Retired 60yo, LARGE traditional IRA, small ROTH
My goal is to spend more, and do ROTH conversions at the same time.
The following strategy was suggested by a "financial professional" I deal with.
Convert up to the top of the 24% bracket
Withdrawal money from the ROTH as needed and leave the rest.
Going up to the top of the 24% bracket would give me more than enough to fund my lifestyle. So I'd likely be converting around 300K/yr. and then pulling around 100K back out.
This sounded logical to me. One big conversion per year, towards the end of the year, so I know where I am tax wise. I can pay the taxes from other sources.
It bugs me that the TSP site does their maintenance on a Saturday morning. That's when I like to check my balance for the week.
I worked as a system administrator for decades and we didn't take the system down during peak hours.
Is it possible to have a different allocation for the ROTH portion of the account? Right now I am 65% stock, 25 bond, 10 cash. I would prefer a higher stock allocation for my ROTH. If not, this might be another reason for me roll over to an IRA at one of the brokerages.
