Solo trip to London (25F) where to stay and what to do?

I’m heading to London on my own for the first time and staying a couple of days. This trip is partly about trying new things and figuring out what I actually enjoy. I like wandering through shops, sitting in cafés with a coffee or matcha, and being near the water. I’m usually more of a homebody, so this feels like a small step outside my comfort zone.

I’ve got a decent budget and want to stay somewhere that feels safe but still lively, with plenty of shops, cafés, and things happening around me. Areas like Soho, Covent Garden, Notting Hill, or South Bank all seem appealing, especially for walking around and soaking in the atmosphere.

I’d love suggestions on neighborhoods or hotels that are great for a first time solo visit, plus any low pressure things to do that don’t feel overly touristy.
