Netflix has made two recent spinoff movies to two popular TV series. El Camino for Breaking Bad and Immortal Man for Peaky Blinders
I'll avoid spoilers and speak broadly but..
El Camino is an epilogue story to the original BB series and focuses on closing out the story arc of one of the characters (Jesse) who had an ambiguous ending in the original series finale. The movie ends in a way that closes out the whole series
Immortal Man had a different purpose. There was the original Peaky Blinders TV that ended a few years ago. Then, there is a new Peaky Blinders show that got announced recently. It takes places decades in the future and has all new characters. Immortal Man was designed to "bridge" the old Peaky Blinders and the new, upcoming Peaky Blinders series. The arc of the "old" characters ends and they will not be in the new series.
(fun fact, Charlie Heaton will be in the new PB series)
So which one would you prefer for a hypothetical Mike/Eleven spinoff? One that focuses only on concluding Mike/Eleven's arc and serving as an epilogue to Stranger Things.
