Just had some machine work done on my EJ205 and had some conflicting information regarding piston ring orientation. The machine shop bought new bearings, rings, etc., and the rings are from DNJ (PR718 STD). Why does the FSM state to place gaps inline with the wrist pin? Searches for answers for this question lead to being told to never place them in line with the wrist pin. Do I stick to the DNJ instructions and just carry on?
Currently troubleshooting inop drivers horn button and a little confused. From my understanding, the spade on the airbod module is the ground, but I'm unsure of where its connector on the vehicle side is? Is it supposed to have a connection in the harness, or can I just put it on a known good ground?
Horns work when panic button is pressed, but not when driver button is.
EDIT: Giving the switch ground and pressing the horn doesn't change anything either. Horn switch and airbag bracket have continuity when depressed. What else can I check? 12v is at both sides of fuse, but I'm just unsure what runs from the relay to steering column and where it would be connected.
