Just finished a Reformer run and I was surpised I couldn't integrate New Canaan (they won over White Legs) peacefully. Twin Mothers/Diana was similar. Is this intentional or did I bork something up?
Recently I have been playing as integration reformer with APA not unlocked from the start. I have been pretty good at timing various research discounts so unlocking it won't take forever, but I have noticed something.
Firstly, you can't unlock it before you get the event from Navarro labs. This is fine, but secondly, when you do the "Streamline Power Armor Production" focus from the Sierra Depot tree, you get an 10 year ahead of time-discount for researching APA >mk. 2<. The result is that even if you are strategic in your research, by the time you have the APA schematics from Navarro and have researched High-Pressure Hydrolics (prerequisite tech), you still have to wait ~1200 days to unlock APA mk. 1, after which your AoT bonus finally kicks in for mk. 2.
I don't know if this is intentional, but it just feels incongruous both in its timing and with how other tech is unlocked. I don't know all the variables in play, so maybe it has to be this way. I just wanted to highlight the issue.
Twice the game has managed to move me close to tears, somehow. I only think it's worth mentioning because of how much it caught me off guard.
The first time was Idira "watching the void whales play". There wasn't even any voice acting and it still got me.
The second was meeting Nuncius. It got me really hard. I after the scene was over I tried describing it to somene and had to stop for a good few minutes to keep the tears from flooding.
Are there any moments in the game that got to you in an unexpected way?
Been thinking about ways to make a Living Saint build, so I was wondering if others had had a similar idea.
My main idea is to do a ministorum warrior start and then go vanguard or arch-militant. When I reach exemplar, I can pick psykic awakening and go the santic route.
Has anyone tried this? Which homeworld would be good? How do you prevent becoming a worse Heinrix, given that you don't really have a reason to buff fellowship, which I think is big in santic?
I have been thinking about doing a Kingmaker run inspired by the game Pathologic. My MC is a vivisectionist/knife master and is supposed to Daniil Dankovsky.
I usually play as a good aligned character, so this time I want to start out as true neutral and see where it goes.
So what decisions/setups in Kingmakers do you think would fit with Daniil's character? Any particular companions/builds I should focus on? Any particular advisors I should use?
