We’re going to be a guest at a Pakistani mehndi- I was planning on wearing a Punjabi salwar suit. It’s white duppatta, kameez and shalwar. The kameez is embroidered in purples, pearls and rani pink and I will be wearing rani pink earring/necklace set.
I was showing my friend (she’s not desi) and she ended up googling if you can wear white and it says no.. now I’m second guessing.
I’m trying to get this dress (Indian lehenga) made in the purple color attached. What two tone material do y’all recommend using? It’s going to have embroidery done on it so it needs to be able to handle that as well. The fabric store mentioned gawadine (gabardine silk) but said pure is super expensive and the blends get messed up when getting embroidery done on it. I just don’t know enough about material to know what to say or select.
