Me again, worm question
So I absolutely overfed my team (amanos, neos, pygmy corys, endlers, two thai crabs, and snails), and now have worms 🤢
Pretty sure detritus worms, though if someone can confirm from the video that would be great.
My questions:
- Best way to clean my tank if there is a giant piece of wood in there that would be super challenging to remove without upsetting plants that are only 2-3 mths settled.
- What do most of you use to clean sand substrate? I have a standard old school suction thing, like the cheapie hand pump one, but it does a mediocre job and the suction part is super bulky (making getting around the wood from #1 challenging).
- Do I just stop feeding everyone? I know the bulk of the team are good cleaners, but I worry about the fish in particular getting enough food. Will Endlers scavenge? I assume the corys will.
- I can pull out the smaller piece of wood with moss that these worms in the video are living on fairly easily. Would it be beneficial to do so, maybe rinse the wood and moss in some conditioned water, or even treat the whole thing? Salt dip? Dewormer? I would ensure no crabs hiding before pulling. I do worry this is one of the hidey places for baby shrimp, so may lose babies with that…
Thank you guys for any advice you might have! :)
Obsessed with blues 🥰
These little creatures are just so dang neat.
Help! Tell me it isn’t clado!
I love this momma and was so happy to see her berried with what looked like sort of teal colored eggs about a week ago. She disappeared for a few days and I feared she was dead, then tonight she reappeared! But she was not moving her swimmerets at all and her eggs look funny to me, like maybe there are leaves? Please tell me this isn’t clado 😩
Help! Eggs or clado?

Beautiful Wonder Woman red rili has gorgeous teal blue-green eggs!
I posted this lady a few weeks ago and she got herself knocked up! Wish us luck on a fruitful bounty of shrimplets soon.
Who is this outlier?
What type of neocaridina is this? Doesn't look like a standard rili? Came with a fire and ice batch of shrimp. He looks like masked superhero to me.
Are these cory eggs?
I have pygmy corys and they have been hanging out for about 6 mths. Are these eggs? I have never seen them before, but google is suggesting that.
What’s with the suction marks?
Japanese trapdoor snails are my jam. So cute. But what is with the random suction marks on the tank? Totally random locations and two different tanks.
Help with mosses
I have recently gotten into planted tanks and absolutely love designing them, but I am very much struggling with getting any of the mosses to stay alive. Everything I plant is thriving and showing new growth, but all of the mosses that I attach to wood ir rockseems to turn brown and melt within weeks of going into the aquarium. I have tried tying it on with string and I have tried gluing it on.
I use root tabs in the substrate and I also add fertilizer to the water for the plants attached to wood. My anubias are doing great. Just not any of the mosses.
Is there some sort of trick to how you attach it? Is this just expected of moss and eventually new growth will happen? Am I just having bad luck with the moss I have ordered (these are from multiple online stores)?

Snex and babies!
Got my trapdoor, Sir Snellington, a new friend (Lady Snelladora) and he went all in on the relationship.
Then I realized she brought along a cute little friend 🥰 (look right above the snails)
What type is this?
I snagged this beauty at a local big box pet store. He was in the tank with neocaridinas, so I assumed he was also one. Similar size/shape. Has been happy in the tank with the other. Just did some googling and is he a crystal red caridina? He’s in my son’s tank with neocaridina parameters and seems to be living his best life. Anything else I should be doing for him? Of course he’s my kiddo’s favorite 🫤
New betta friend - girl or boy and name ideas!
Curious if anyone can confirm this is a boy alien betta and also any name suggestions? He is gorgeous and when he moves his tail is almost magenta 🥰
