Austin. Meh?

was there last night. Saw Gaslight in San Antonio a few years ago and they brought it all out on stage. Last night was just MEH for me. After song 2 he explained his voice was shot and he was clearly struggling. Brought the energy waaaaaaay down. At the midway point I was legit bored. Didn't play PEARLS? 45? Wonderful life? While playing SMOKE to close the show I was watching the bass player who was looking at him with a genuine look of "I don't know if he's going to finish the song" as his voice was totally blowing out. The second the song was over, he was out.

I get it - he is getting sick. We all have crummy nights. This was a solid 4/10 for me. Just my .02

I hope he can get his throat fixed cause the next few shows might be a bit iffy.

Depression? Midlife crisis?

sorry if this is a ramble, but it's the best I have this minute.

51y old man
Newly married
Self employed
Just moved homes to an area I know not a soul
Kids all grown and kinda/sorta OK relationships

I had a stupid hormone imbalance a couple years ago, and due to a bit of an error from MD, 90% of my hair thinned out in 6 months. Buzzed my head finally.

I looked at myself in the mirror and said out loud "Man, I"ve lost my confidence cause brother, you are UGLY." And I believe that. I'm no Brad Pitt, but have always had a fair amount of self-confidence regarding my appearance: GONE.

I know you might tell me "My friend buzzed his head and looks like a damn ADONIS!!" and I"m sure that's true, but there's plenty of men that, well, just can't pull off the looks - and I'm one of them.

So that has stung me badly - I wear hats everywhere, just feel generally ugly, and it's taken a real toll on me.

Kids: so my kids (3) are a long story that there's no sense in going through. But I've worked so hard for years (kids are in their 20s) to repair any issues with our relationship, and one of my kids is rather close with me. The others, not so awesome. For YEARS I have worked through this trying to become better with/for them, but I'm having negligible results. And for a really long time, the whole thing bummed me out for obvious reasons. I've realized in the last 6 months I'm getting ANGRY about it . Issues or not, my kids know right/wrong. I've taught them. I wasn't insanely close to my parents growing up, but damn it if I didn't KNOW that you call home once/week just to check on 'em. Is that too much to ask? I used to plead w/ them to talk to me, but now I find myself mentally shrugging my shoulders about it and it starting to piss me off. This isn't helping things.

I'm over 50 now, and let's be honest, things start not working so awesome on us at that point. I get it. But it's been terrifying the speed it is happening to me since I crossed over 50. I've put on weight despite being relatively healthy. My sleep is shot. I eat well, but my energy is toast. It's little things: realized my ankles are fatter cause of fluid retention (fixed it but it took a while). My hair is shit, again. I can't see a damn thing anymore and have glasses all over the house. I was on a ladder this wknd, missed a step, and busted my ass. I laid there thinking "FIrst of all, what the fuck. Second of all, this is probably what'll kill me one day - I'll just stumble taking out the trash, break a hip, and I'm dead." SUper productive thoughts.

I'm not excited any more.
I live in a gated golf community. I have comfortable job. My wife is fantastic. Yet, I find myself with things like vacations or little projects I'm doing that in the past I would be on FIRE with anticipation....and I just want to go to bed. The thought of going on VACATION seems exhausting to me. I mean, WTF. Who doesn't enjoy vacations?

I'm self employed and have recently changed industries and i'm handcuffed to my desk. I do ok financially so can't complain but i've lost the freedom I used to have to dictate my schedule...and it depresses me.

Am I depressed/
Mid life crisis?

Let's talk?

4' foot deep enclosure?

do they exist?

Because of my garage dimensions, I need one with minimal depth. I know I can custom build on, but was curious if you guys knew of kits that are 4' deep instead of the typical 6'?
THANKS

Enclosure with 3' depth?

I'd like a 10' wide, 8' tall, and THREE FOOT depth enclosure. I believe Carl's carries one, but their stuff is so expensive. This is going in a garage in Texas. Any recommendations? And if you have a 3' depth enclosure, any issue with skying shots?? I'll have Square Omni. THANKS!!
