Realistic tips for someone taking summer orgo chem and working?

Hello all, I’m a postbac at NIH (about 40 hrs/week) also taking Orgo Chem 1 over the summer. The course is about one month. Chemistry is not my favorite subject, took Gen Chem 1 and 2 3 years ago and “passed” with Cs. What are you guys tips for this? I talked to my professor to gage feasibility and she said it’s possible that I should brush up on Gen Chem 2 and dedicate about 10-15 hrs per week outside of class.

Please drop actual tips , taking it in a semester long course isn’t really an option for me. :(

Study tips? How long should I spend studying per day? Best resources for studying? Thanks in advance

Genetics and Microbiology for mcat?

I’m a current NIH postbac working full time already (I have a Bachelors degree in science) and taking night classes from now until next years application cycle basically. During that time I will be taking Orgo Chem 1&2 lab/lecture and Biochemistry (I took Bio, Physics, Chem, and Anatomy during undergrad). I was admitted into the UMD SIE program and the advisor was saying to take Genetics and Microbiology for MCAT as well?? Not sure if they wanted me to pay more for classes but what is you alls opinion? I’ve kind of planned everything out perfectly to finish my orgo and biochem to prepare for MCAT and then go straight into applying next cycle. So not sure where genetics and microbiology would even fit in. All advice is appreciated
