Acadia: late June or July 2027

Family is taking a week long trip to Maine to visit ANP and plan on staying near Ellsworth. Have never been to ANP or Maine for that matter.

We are trying to decide if we should schedule our visit for the last week of June (June 26 to July 3) or mid to late July 2027.

Is there any benefit in one versus the other? Will crowds at the park be any different? Any significance between inland lake water temperatures between those dates? Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated!

Summer 2027 - advice

My wife and I along with our 2 teenage sons are planning a Summer 2027 week long vacation to Acadia.

Have never been to ANP or Maine and was
hoping you all could offer advice on towns we should consider staying at that are no further than 45 of ANP or Bar Harbor, closer is fine too.

We would prefer to stay on a lake or pond for our base as one of my kids and I really enjoy fishing for smallmouth and largemouth bass. We would flying in and will have a rental car, we will not have a boat, so smaller lakes or ponds with good fishing and kayaking would be a plus.

Any advice on areas, lakes and ponds we should look into for finding a rental property?

Thanks for your help!

Maine inland lakes

What inland lakes do you recommend that would be good for fishing (large mouth bass and small mouth bass) in the summer, close to towns with dining and shopping and close to fun day trip options?

Travel a lot to Traverse City in Northern Michigan and am looking for something similar in Maine that would be convention an airport as well.
