Why did Jacob keep so many bottles of wine at home?

In other words, Jacob was playing the part of a good man, a good husband to Sara, a good stepfather to Mike, but why was he keeping bottles of wine at home? If Sara had a drinking problem, she was going to suffer because of those bottles. If you want to play the good guy, Jacob shouldn't keep those bottles at home.

Fernand, the most evil of the conspirators?

Several people were involved in the plot against Edmond Dantès.

Was Fernand the most wicked of all those who brought about Edmond's downfall

? Fernand's motive was Mercedes, to keep her for himself, but when Edmond was imprisoned and later declared dead, Mercedes suffered terribly. Didn't Fernand consider the pain Mercedes felt? Didn't he regret that decision, not only because of Mercedes's suffering?

Why didn't Mercedes help Edmond's father?

In other words, in the novel I believe the father died of hunger, but when Mercedes married Fernand, why didn't she try to help Edmond's father, at least so that he wouldn't go hungry?

Did Sara tell Jacob about her problems with drugs and alcohol?

As we all know, she told Jacob about Michael and what he did at Fox River after the wedding, on their honeymoon. But I get the feeling she didn't tell him much. Did Sara tell Jacob about her addictions?

What if Michael had received training while working for Poseidon?

Poseidon sends Michael to different locations around the world to free prisoners from various prisons. What would have happened if Michael had asked Jacob to provide him with combat and weapons training?

In other words, asking for agents or soldiers to train him in combat—how would that have affected the character and the story?

Because he might have thought that some prisons were like Sona, where there were brutal fights, and many of the prisons he visited were in conflict zones.

Chang: The worst henchman of the Roger Moore as Bond?

Chang was Hugo Drax's henchman in the film Moonraker; he was defeated by Bond in a fight. Chang doesn't strike me as a henchman who could seriously challenge Bond, and we're talking about Moore's Bond, probably not as lethal as later Bonds like Dalton, Brosnan, and Craig. But this Bond has faced, among other henchmen, Jaws, who is possibly the best henchman in the Bond saga. Is Chang the worst henchman Moore has ever faced?

Mercedes: The true victim of the plot against Dantes?

We all know the story of Edmund, who spent 14 years of his life in prison, but in prison he became cultured and upon his release was able to acquire a treasure and riches. But the question I ask you is, is Mercedes the true victim? That is to say, she married Fernand more out of necessity than love, she had to "bury" Edmund only to see him return as the Count of Monte Cristo and discover that her husband is the cause of all her suffering.

Better than in the novel?

In the 2002 version of The Count of Monte Cristo, Edmond learns fencing in prison from Abbé Faria. This is a change from the original novel. A good idea?

The Count of Monte Cristo and duels of swords.

In many Count of Monte Cristo films, there's always a sword fight at the end. Edmund Dantès learned swordsmanship before going to prison, either while in prison as in the 2002 version, or after his release.

Can Jacob love?

We know that Jacob sent Michael to Yemen to have Sara, and that he was a good husband during those years. But when she discovered the truth, he planned to kill her. And not gently, but to burn her alive. A truly cruel death. Can Jacob truly love someone?

Whip VS

We know that Whip is the son of... And he is the one who helps Michael in the years when he worked for Poseidon. The question I ask you is, if Whip fought limb to limb against the Fox River Eight, who could he defeat?

Jacob had already lost before going to the warehouse.

Bellick's conviction is one of the most absurd things in the series.

Okay, he threatened Geary, but remember that Geary had already hit him, Bellick was in the hospital, and Roy could have been in another city, since he took a bus after knocking Bellick out. The only evidence against him was the text message. But if you analyze Geary's crime scene in the hotel room, there should be T-Bag's fingerprints. The hotel security cameras will show that the man who enters is T-Bag, Bellick's alibi. It doesn't make sense. Because in Sara's case, her imprisonment is due to Poseidon. So there's a certain logic to it.

Why didn't Michael recruit Gretchen?

During the years he worked for Poseidon, why didn't he recruit Gretchen? She could have been a source of support from outside the prison. Or even when Poseidon betrayed them, why didn't he try to employ Gretchen instead of T. Bag?

It's curious how Linc didn't learn to fight hand-to-hand despite being a thug.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIphP6BahGo

Linc was a thug in his past, even using firearms. But it strikes me as odd that for that line of work, he didn't learn hand-to-hand combat techniques, since that's where he uses violence. He's not like Michael or Sara, who have peaceful jobs.

Sincerity or a need to talk?

Due to the image quality, I have remade the post with another image.

In the scene where Jacob tells Sara to remember what she told him on their honeymoon, did Sara want to be honest with him at that time and not hide things from him? I don't think so. I think she basically told him because the honeymoon with Jacob reopened old wounds that never healed. She never got over Michael's death. Because if she truly wanted honesty, then she wouldn't have hidden Jacob's revolver.

Why let him live?

Jacob sent Michael to Yemen to get Sara. But why leave him in prison? Michael Scofield is an expert who has escaped from several prisons, and Jacob himself hired him precisely for that reason: to break people out of prison. Eliminating an escape expert by locking him up is stupid, in my opinion. And the other question I have is, if Michael was sending origami to that house, how come he didn't make sure he knew who lived there?

u/Superkid1660 — 17 days ago

One possible explanation.

I've always seen Sara's reaction to discovering the truth about Jacob as quite cold. I mean, your husband, the man you shared your life with, who takes care of your son, whom you trusted, turns out not to be who you thought he was. She's hurt, but not heartbroken. The possible explanation is that she reacted that way because it ultimately benefits her that he's the villain (that way she doesn't have to leave a good man).
