See title, basically I bought two unopened jars of Mt. Olive zesty garlic pickles from walmart and the first one I opened had an intensely bitter aftertaste. The other jar was fine.

Looking online, it seems like this can happen in home pickle making (from the cucumbers themselves if they are stressed while growing). I haven’t ever had this happen with store bought though.

Anyone else experience this? Obviously Mt. Olive isn’t exactly a premium brand…
