I love FF7 rebirth!!

I have to give this game the appreciation it deserves.

I pushed myself through FF7 Remake, and while I enjoyed the story and visuals, the combat just never fully impressed me. It started to feel repetitive, and I honestly questioned whether I’d even enjoy Rebirth.
I’m so glad I was wrong.

The moment I started Rebirth, it felt like a completely different experience. The combat is faster, flashier, and way more expressive. The Synergy Abilities are one of the coolest mechanics I’ve seen in an RPG, and they make every fight feel like an anime scene come to life.

What really blew me away, though, was how sick Cloud’s attacks look. The colors, the glowing aura around his sword, and the way every swing feels like it has this explosive energy behind it are incredible. His aerial attacks and over the top finishers are exactly what I was hoping for. Every battle feels stylish, vibrant, and way more exciting than anything I expected.

And then there is the opening section where you get to fight alongside Sephiroth. Absolute peak. Using Cloud and Sephiroth to tear through enemies together had me grinning the whole time. It immediately sold me on the combat.

Honestly, I kind of wish I had started with Rebirth because this is the experience I wanted from the beginning. At the same time, I’m glad I finished Remake first because now I don’t have that lingering “what if?” feeling. I experienced the whole journey, and now I get to appreciate just how much Rebirth improves on it.

I’m only partway through, but this has already become one of the most fun JRPGs I’ve played in a long time. If anyone else was on the fence because Remake didn’t completely click for them, give Rebirth a chance. It exceeded every expectation I had.

First time playing this gem

Just started Wuchang and I’m having a good time with it so far.

Any beginner tips, things you wish you knew early on, or mistakes to avoid? Just looking for any advice from people who have put some time into the game.

Using the longsword right now, but I’m open to trying other weapons too.

Thanks!

Loved Lies of P. What’s the best game to play next?

What’s up everyone,

I’ve been trying to find a game that gives me the same feeling that Lies of P did, but nothing has really clicked yet.

What I loved about Lies of P was the boss fights, the combat, the weapon/build customization, and the ability of constantly making my character stronger. Learning a boss, getting my ass kicked a few times, and then finally beating it was incredibly satisfying.

For those of you who loved Lies of P, what game came the closest to scratching that same itch? If you could only pick one game for a Lies of P fan, what would it be?

Appreciate it.

Should I get Ghost of Yotei if I haven’t played Tsushima?

I’ve never played Ghost of Tsushima, but Ghost of Yōtei has really caught my attention. Honestly, a big reason is the fashion, armor, and overall aesthetic it just appeals to me more.

Would I be fine jumping straight into Yōtei, or should I play Tsushima first?

Games I’ve enjoyed:

Sekiro
Bloodborne
Elden Ring
Lies of P
Monster Hunter Wilds

I FINALLY BEAT GENICHIRO

I bought this game on 9/27/2025 and I coasted through it until I got to Genichiro! I uninstalled multiple times because that asshole and just played other games lol. Anyway, I finally beat him and obtained the MORTAL BLADE!

Things that helped a lot: Staying in his face but knowing that "CLANG" means it's his turn to attack. (Literally didn't know that the loud clang meant to stop attacking until just recently lol)

Using the axe prosthetic after every mikiri counter helped a lot to build that posture bar up!

During his 3rd phase I used mist raven to reverse his lightning attack and oh boy it was beautiful! I felt like an anime character or something.

Not sure how big of a difference it made but I also used a PS5 controller instead of Xbox!

I am currently playing Sekiro and Bloodborne I just want to say I love Fromsoft!

I’ve done it!

Just beat Lies of P and man, it really is peak lol. Such a good game, definitely one of my favorite soulslikes now.

I ran motivity for my first playthrough and had a great time, but I realized I missed a bunch of outfits and I only got the gray hair, not the long hair. Kinda annoyed because I thought I was doing enough for the humanity stuff.

Thinking about just starting NG+ right away and doing a technique build this time. Mainly want to grab all the outfits I missed first.

Anything I should do before starting? Pls LMK

Is FF7 Remake/Rebirth worth it if I mostly care about combat and not the story?

I’ve been thinking about trying Final Fantasy VII Remake and/or Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. I do enjoy a good story, so it’s not like I’d ignore it completely, but story usually isn’t my biggest focus in games.

I’m mostly interested in the combat. It looks flashy as hell, and I’ve always wanted to run around using that big ass sword Cloud has. The gameplay just looks fun.

If I like build-making and combat-heavy games, but story isn’t my main reason for playing (even though I still enjoy it), would FF7 Remake/Rebirth still be worth it?

Games I’ve enjoyed:

Lies of P

Elden ring

Monster hunter wilds
