Gaming seems to be a sinking ship. Don't know what comes after. (Long post)

TLDR: Any mentally engaging home hobbies that can replace 8-12 hour daily gaming sessions?

I'm 41, disabled, and have done basically nothing but gaming for my entire life. All of my friends moved away after high school and I've been alone ever since. I'm blind in one eye and have another disability that keeps me at home that I'd rather not talk about. My limbs all work though.

Gaming has been everything to me, but it's dying. Scumbag AI companies making hardware scarce and incredibly expensive, companies ending themselves with their braindead decisions... It's not going to collapse tomorrow, but it's coming faster than I expected, and one day, my hardware will break down and I won't be able to replace it.

I know this sub is supposed to be about voluntarily quitting gaming and fighting its "addiction", but I don't want to stop. It's all I've had to keep me sane. I'll likely be forced to quit one day when it's all gone. I've looked up hobbies during game droughts, but could never find anything that comes close to filling the void. Tried home brewing mead for a few years, but it's more of a set and forget thing. It's not enough to replace such a big core part of my life.

Any ex-gamers here have any advice for hobbies that can be done entirely at home? Something cave man friendly perhaps, because we won't be able to get PCs or possibly any electronics anymore at that point. XD

Thanks in advance for any useful info!

TLDR: Any recommendations for a good 4K/120Hz VRR 5.1 receiver with 40gbps ports?

I currently have a Yamaha RX-V385 receiver. I'm looking to upgrade to a 4K/120 VRR receiver. I have a Samsung Q90 TV and play on PS5 Pro, Series X and Switch 2. Possibly a Steam machine in the future. It's all about gaming and Blu-rays. Looking for something with 40Gbps HDMI ports, or I would have considered the Yamaha RX-V4A.

Some I have considered are the Denon AVR-S670H or the Onkyo NR6100. I've heard that Denons get hot and don't last long. I also obviously have the speakers and a sub. I always use the straight encode if that matters, and I'm in a small bedroom.

I've tried eArc on the current receiver, both through HDMI and optical, but both have HORRIFIC audio delay regardless of cables or settings used, so that's out. Definitely going for a new receiver. Perfer to switch inputs on the receiver anyway because the TV's UI is awful.

Thanks in advance for any useful info or recommendations!

I'm on Spectrum's 1 Gig plan. Normally I pull over 1,100mbps download and about 20-35 upload over wifi consistently, but both speeds are now all over the place. 1 single megabit upload and 45-600 download, and the connection often just goes unresponsive for a few seconds. I have traceroutes from when this happens.

Currently on the Spectrum issued Hitron docsis 3.1 modem and a TP-Link GE800 wifi 7 router bought in December to replace a dying old Asus one. Dealing with Spectrum support is always a nightmare, so I want to get some opinions before I decide to go to war. XD

I feel like the ISP may be the issue here, because the modem has lost connection completely at least twice today. (Online light going out.) I don't have an ethernet cable long enough or a laptop, so I had to do the traceroutes over wifi. The modem may be on a different subnet or is locked out something, because I can't log into it to get signal info like I could in some older modems. Can you glean any info from these traceroutes?

Thanks in advance for any useful info!
