UT to VA

UT to VA

Moving from Utah to Virginia with little kids. We need a route that will be full of leg stretching and nice scenery, but we're also just trying to push through to an extent.

I would love suggestions for stops on the way for any of these routes!

Help me Understand this Intro

We are on day 2 of introduction through the split cage method. My lavender guy seems to be perfectly fine with the idea of bonding with my new siamese dude. But my Siamese seems to be unsure.

Right before this video, they were running around chattering their teeth and totally disinterested in each other.

After the video, they ran their separate ways for a few minutes and then got into a scuffle accompanied with a squeak.

Now I am confused about all these interactions. Were those stop and sniff moments just sniffs? Or were they side arching? How do I tell the difference?

I would love some help figuring out this adorable species.

Moving to beautiful Lynchburg/Forest

We are moving from the Western USA to your beautiful area and I would love some help figuring things out. We are a politically progressive Christian family with too many kids. I would love to know:
- what the schools are like, and how easy-going are homeschool laws

-the best neighborhoods for kids

- how friendly, social, and open the people are

-the current political state is of the area

-what you love about the area

Any help would be wonderful!

We have this stray cat that adopted us about 3 years ago when it moved into a hole under our shed. We don't see it, except at meal times when we feed it. It will only interact with us during this feeding time. Any other time, it is terrified.

We have noticed her belly growing this spring and she is asking for WAY more food than usual and spending more time close to our yard (I thought she was spayed sice its been 3 years and no prior kittens). I'm wondering what we can do to make her birth and her kittens more comfortable. I don't want those poor babies in a dirt hole if I can help it, but I get that its also up to Momma.

We are also preparing to move, so I want to make sure that we can do what we can for these kittens, even if it means giving them a safe space to grow up and potentially find homes.

What can we do to help?
