Finished work - A Pokemon's Journey

Posted earlier in r/crossstitch, figured this would be a good sub to throw it on as well.

First piece larger than a keychain I've done in the better part of 20 years, recently got back into stitchcraft, and felt this would be a good piece as a self-reminder of the road I've taken to get to where I am now, to be mindful of the choices I make going forward.

Would've finished it a fair bit earlier, started it around christmas of last year, but life and procrastination continued to rear their ugly heads. Finished this a few days ago, and have about a dozen other projects to work through over the next few years.

[FO] First bigger finished piece in many years

Like the title says, first piece bigger than a keychain in many years. Decided to go with this one as sort of a reminder to myself about living with intent, because of some of the choices I've made in the past (part of why I haven't practiced any stitchcraft in the past 20ish years).

Took a fair bit longer than I anticipated, because life and procrastination kept rearing their ugly heads. Just glad it's done now, and I've already got another half dozen projects ready to go.

Found the pattern on Etsy (by PopcornCatStitchery), redid it myself on StitchFiddle (because I'm cheap) and goosed the corners a bit for stylistic reasons. Didn't grid it out, ended up messing up a few spots, but I'm still pretty happy with it.

The robots are coming, and they're being controlled by the rich!!!

The company in question has produced a giant centaur robot designed for search and rescue. Obviously, it's a terminator-style weapon being controlled by the elites.

Some of the commentary on the post is pretty cool, mostly nightmare fuel type jokes. Then there's this gem of a thread.

I got a car!

First car I've ever bought, coming up on 40 years old. 2020 Sportage, about 100k miles on it.

Was a bit nervous about the whole process, and it has a few issues I didn't notice, but I think it'll work well enough for what I need to do (to/from work and college, not much else for now)

Now that I have a car, I can work on actually getting my license again.
