First timer here so apologies for the dumb question but do you get a paper schedule for all the stages on arrival??

I’m 35 and was diagnosed with PCOS 5 years ago. Always been fairly mild symptoms, a cycle of around 34-37 days and that’s about it other than cystic ovaries revealed on an unrelated ultrasound.
Now TTC for 3 months and in a chat with my GP, she said she wasn’t actually convinced I have PCOS and they didn’t do the recommended blood tests back in 2021 to diagnose it. I did have bloods done but not the tests they’d use now, apparently.
This has obviously knocked me for six as I’ve been reading loads about PCOS and been taking myoinositol and omega 3.
She then said I’d have to have fertility and PCOS bloods done, on days 2-4 of my cycle. This is great, I’m thinking, as at least it’s some action. But now, my cycle hasn’t come and I’m on day 39 with no signs of it arriving. This is unusually late for me, and of course I’ve tested for pregnancy but it’s negative. If my period doesn’t come soon, I am away next week and won’t be able to get the bloods done on day 2-4, and have to wait a whole cycle.
I’m just feeling so defeated that a) I may have had false information all this time, b) my body has decided now to have a weird long cycle and c) that I truly am so confused about what to do for the best.
I’m worried that I’ve messed my cycle up by taking myoinositol and omega supplements potentially when I don’t need them. I’ve only had one other very long cycle of 43 days and that was a couple months ago when I started taking myoinositol! Should I just go back to my ‘natural’ state and only take my prenatal?
Just so frustrated.
my partner and I (mid-30s) are visiting the Algarve for six nights in mid-October, this is our second visit - we went to Lagos several years ago.
We want this to be a chill out / sunbathing trip (appreciating weather might not go our way!) and to go somewhere not too far from the airport (40 mins or so). I much prefer little coves to big beaches; this was my favourite thing about Lagos.
Ideally we’d have gone all inclusive somewhere high end but the budget doesn’t allow! I’ve therefore narrowed it down to hiring a car and getting an Airbnb just west of Albufeira, by Praia de Sao Rafael. My thinking is we can visit the nice little beaches and go into the actual town once or twice for dinner.
I’m finding it hard however to get any information on this area and whether it is indeed a nice and convenient place to stay? There doesn’t seem to be much around, which is broadly fine as we’ll self cater some nights, but it would be nice to have a few bars or restaurants within walking distance. Would it be unreasonable to walk to the Marina area for example?
Any thoughts or recommendations gratefully received.
I usually ovulate around CD 21-24 in an average 35 day cycle. I have PCOS but mildly and do appear to ovulate regularly etc.
This month, everything has felt different. I never got a peak on LH strips but I use them with a big pinch of salt anyway as they’re less reliable with PCOS and I think I have very rapid surges. I’ve had lots of bloating and cramps and uncomfortableness for about 10 days now (CD24 now) to the point I’ve actually felt like my period is coming. I have also spotted very light brown blood for three days. I’ve not had my usual symptoms of sore breasts, high sex drive. My temps have had a minor rise (.3c) after predicted ovulation but back down the next day.
Given this is meant to be my ovulation window we’ve continued as usual in trying to conceive but I am just so confused as to why my body has felt so different this time and whether this means I didn’t ovulate at all.
Does anyone else ever experience this? Do my symptoms sound like a really messed up cycle?
I have been using clearblue advanced digital tests and this is the second time now that the reader has run out of battery or just died after only two cycles. This second one it’s died mid testing and now I can’t use a new one because I was already in my flashing phase and it will set the baseline wrong (to my elevated hormone levels). I’m so frustrated as normal OPKs don’t work as well with me due to having PCOS.
These things are so expensive and they’re so rubbish. I’m considering buying the £100+ clearblue monitor but it feels like I’m being tricked into it.
I (35F) was diagnosed with PCOS about 5 years ago and have finally started to get my head around it now we’re ttc. I’ve been taking inositol and fish liver oil for about 3 months and have already seen improvements in my cycle - this month in particular I have had a pretty much ‘textbook’ ovulation in terms of bbt, OPK/clearblue ovulation tests and other physical symptoms. I obviously hoped this meant I’d conceive but my period appears to have come at around 9DPO and is still here (11DPO). It has come several days early at CD 31 which is amazing for me, as usually I am firmly 35-38 days. So whilst I am disappointed to not conceive, I am happy to see my cycle seemingly reducing into a ‘normal’ length, which I credit to the supplements.
HOWEVER, I have only had really light brown bleeding the entire 3 days thus far. No red blood at all - all just brown - and realistically a panty liner would have been sufficient for an entire day. I did initially hope this was implantation symptoms but given it’s now day 3 I suspect not. I am on holiday and didn’t bring a pregnancy test so if this carries on without getting heavier I might try one but I am quite confident it’s still a period.
Wondered if anyone else has experienced similar? It’s so frustrating that the supplements (and other things like reducing sugar/exercising more) seem to be improving things, only to then have a different negative symptom turn up of a totally light period. Or is a light period still ok in terms of ttc?
I am going to see a GP when I get back home I think but would really welcome others’ experiences. Feel so adrift with this!

Hi!
First time visitor to Oslo and staying in Norway for two weeks. I’m British but I’d love the experience of watching Norway play tomorrow’s game. I’ve looked up some places to watch it and a lot of them are ticketed - is there a free and centrally located place in Oslo that people will gather to watch the game? A big square or similar?
Thanks so much!
I’ve been TTC for two months and have what I would say is a relatively mild form of PMOS - I have regular periods at about 34-37 cycles, and longer than average periods (8 days), with no hirsutism or other physical symptoms other than being a tad overweight. I’ve been worried however that maybe I am not ovulating properly despite the regular periods. I’m in the UK so have only had initial diagnosis and no further testing yet.
I have been reading up on PMOS in advance of ttc and 2/2.5 months ago started taking 4000mg inositol as well as omega 3 and usual preconception vitamins.
I didn’t think I was seeing much difference but this month I have had new symptoms around ovulation, with sore breasts/nipples and some spotting. Have never had this before. I test using clear blue advanced and OPKs and I had a very quick surge, going from blank circle on clear blue to ‘peak’ fixed smiley with no ‘high fertility’ flashing smiley in between.
Just curious from any of you who have had a longer experience with inositol as to whether these could be signs that the supplements are making a difference? I don’t know if I’m just getting my hopes up too much!
Has also made me think whether actually most ‘normal’ women get such strong ovulation symptoms, and all this time I didn’t realise I was missing something I should’ve been getting as a clue that I don’t ovulate properly?
Hi, I’m staying in Geraingerfjord for two nights next month as part of a road trip. I wanted to get out onto the water whilst there to see the waterfalls etc but there’s lots of options and I am a bit surprised at how expensive some of them are. Does anyone have a suggestion for the best value trip? As in, not necessarily the cheapest but the most worthwhile for the money? I was originally thinking a RIB but I am now wondering if they are too quick and not enough time to enjoy the scenery as you would on a slow cruise.
Separately, our accommodation is just outside of the village and I assumed we could walk to and from the village but I have just realised it is a one hour walk to the harbour downhill! What are the chances of finding parking in the village and is it likely we will need to go in first thing?
Hi, I’m making some big changes to a trip for late June and turning it into a road trip rather than mostly public transport as previously planned. We have flights booked and had an itinerary but it has to change it around as one of the main places we wanted to go isn’t open when we were originally gonna go (Hafjell) and now it needs to be in the middle of our trip. As our flight out is Alesund it means we have to kind of go back on ourselves by flying to Alesund and doing a round trip from there.
I think this sounds reasonable but would love feedback on whether me this is too ambitious in terms of driving. My thought process is that it should be lots of beautiful drives and nothing is longer than 4hrs but I don’t know how accurate google maps is and whether we can expect any obstacles.
Oslo - 3 nights
Fly to Alesund and pick up car and drive to Andalsnes
Andalsnes - 3 nights
Drive to Hafjell, 2 nights
Drive to Gerainger, 2 nights
Alesund 2 nights, fly home late.
Also, how easy it’s it to drive Trollstigen Road? I’d like to do a half day trip from Andalsnes but coach trips are very expensive and we will have the car anyway, however the actual driving of the road makes me nervous!
Hi, I’m planning to visit Hafjell on a weekday first week of July. It’s very unclear from the website whether the main gondola will be open and if you can use it to take bikes up to the peak repeatedly (ie if riding trails down several times in one day). It also appears the main Bike Park isn’t open midweek until the second week of July but that seems quite limited given its school holidays. Is this normal?
