AI videos are getting harder to spot

This is probably going to become a much bigger issue on TikTok.

TikTok says creators are expected to label realistic AI-generated content, and TikTok can also automatically apply an AI-generated label in some cases.

The weird part is how quickly some AI videos can pass as real when you're casually scrolling. If you aren't paying attention, it's pretty easy to just take the video at face value.

Have you seen an AI TikTok recently that you genuinely thought was real at first?

TikTok has made everyone an expert at editing

You can tell when somebody has been making videos for a while because the cuts, captions and timing are just different.

What's funny is that editing skills that used to take actual software knowledge can now be done on a phone in minutes.

Do you think TikTok has made video editing easier for everyone?

Some people are basically living for the next viral video

You can kinda tell when someone is doing something just because they know it'll perform well on TikTok. Sometimes it works and sometimes it's painfully obvious.

I can't even blame them though because views can turn into actual money now.

Do you think going viral has changed what people are willing to do in public?

TikTok has made waiting feel impossible

If I'm waiting for food, sitting somewhere or even just standing in a line, I automatically open TikTok
It's like five minutes of doing nothing feels weird now.

What did you used to do when you were bored before TikTok?

Is anyone else's "Not Interested" button completely ignored?

I'll tap "Not Interested" on a certain type of video, and somehow TikTok decides to show me even more of the same thing sometimes it works perfectly, and other times it feels like the algorithm is just testing my patience
Has the "Not Interested" option actually improved your FYP?

Does your FYP ever feel like it's reading your mind?

Sometimes I'll think about something during the day, and later that night my FYP is suddenly full of videos about that exact topic

I'm sure it's just the algorithm doing its job, but it still feels weird every time it happens what's the most oddly specific recommendation TikTok has ever shown you?

Do people still judge others for making TikToks in public?

I used to think making a TikTok in public was kind of embarrassing. Now I see people filming dance videos, food reviews, GRWMs, outfit checks, and vlogs almost everywhere—parks, malls, cafés, airports... it's become pretty normal.

At the same time, I still catch people giving those "what are they doing?" looks whenever someone pulls out their phone and starts recording.

It feels like there's a weird divide. Some people see it as creativity or even a job, while others still think it's awkward or attention-seeking.

Have your thoughts changed over the years, or do you still feel the same when you see someone making a TikTok in public?

TikTok has become my search engine

Whenever I want restaurant recommendations, travel tips, recipes, or even tech reviews, I open TikTok before Google.

The videos feel more real because you're seeing people actually use or experience something instead of just reading an article.

Do you still Google things first, or has TikTok become your go-to search app too?
