I bought all of this produce from the fruit and veg stall from my local market. As it’s just me and my son, I was finding that the package sizing of supermarket fruit and veg was too much for us and things went to waste.

I must say, the fruit and veg has lasted way better than supermarket produce, I bought this stuff over a week ago and it’s still going strong. I made sure to wash all of it the day I bought it and a few bugs came out of them but other than that, all good. For anyone on a budget this could be a better alternative if there’s only yourself or for two people.

(I’m northern so dinner meaning lunch)

- glazed salmon with home made slaw and basmati
- spicy sundried tomato prawn pasta with broccoli
- teryaki beef noodles with carrot & brocolli
- sweet potato & chickpea curry with basmati
- bbq pulled pork with mac & cheese and home made slaw

If I don’t make lunches like this I’ll either not eat or get a takeaway which I cannot justify paying for! If anyone could recommend healthier substitutes for anything that would help massively as I’m trying to lose a bit of weight :)

My son is 8 years old, he came to me this morning and asked if I could download Garage Band on his iPad. He said he’s seen a couple of kids playing on it on the school iPads so I said yes. I downloaded it for him and he’s been sat on his bed playing around on it. He then came to me and asked me what I thought, and I was pleasantly surprised?

Don’t get me wrong I’m aware that a lot of it sounds janky and like it’s just different sounds clashing, but I feel like he’s done quite well for a kid who hasn’t been taught any of this? He explained why he’d put certain parts where, e.g a verse, chorus, bridge. So I’m guessing he learned that terminology when they do a general music lesson at school.

Most importantly for me is that he is really enjoying it? He’s always been “gifted” in mathematics and is generally quite a clever boy, but music isn’t something he’s ever found an interest in until now. He has never been artistic, he’s colour blind so I’ve had things like green burgers drawn before. It’s cute but it frustrates him and other kids have picked on him at school every now and then for “not knowing his colours”. So it’s nice for him to have an interest in something artistic where he can express himself.

Could anyone recommend how I can support him to explore it further? Like books or online learning about music production maybe? (If i come across as a pushy or delusional parent I’m really not lol)

I’m trying to verify my age so I can change the settings on my sons account so he can join servers etc. has anyone used the “yoti” age verification? No matter what I do it’s not fking working and I can’t change any privacy preferences for his account.
