Thank you guys, all of you!

ADHD is a pain in the ass, no doubt. But I just want to make a quick shoutout, to this sub and all of you guys. Knowing that I‘m not alone in this and sharing our experiences with each other has helped me so so much, more than any therapy probably ever will. Sending virtual love and support to all of you, be it for finally making that call, starting a workout, getting out of bed or just feeling less bad for rotting in bed.

If you suffer from lifelong, completely treatment resistant PE, there’s a fairly high chance you might have ADHD.

Been suffering from PE since puberty, exercises, techniques, local anesthesia, SSRIs, nothing helped. Like not even a little bit, not even 50 seconds instead of 30.

Last month I was diagnosed with ADHD and since I was already at my lowest point I talked about everything that might help with the diagnosis.

Turns out FORTY TO FIFTY percent of people with ADHD suffer from PE. Once I found the right dosage for my medication the PE is gone, literally just gone.

I don’t wanna get into too much detail since I‘m not a professional so I can only repeat what I understood but neurotypical people have a sort of built in break for sensations which has to do with DOPAMINE.

That does not only explain, why SSRIs, which are about Serotonin, have zero effect for many people but it also explains why all the other options don’t work. Awareness training, anesthesia, special techniques are all worthless if your dopamine levels are constantly fked. You can’t stop it cause your nerves give the "release" sign seconds after getting started. If your natural break for that sign doesn’t work no med in the world will stop you from getting over the edge in seconds.

tldr: If you show any signs of ADHD and suffer from lifelong and treatment resistant PE get yourself tested. It might change your life in a matter of days.

1:0, maybe penalty?, var? NO! HYDRATION BREAK, POWERED BY GATORADE!

And the underdog doesn’t get the penalty against them! gotta give it to you, Americans. This is absolute cinema!

Maybe this "soccer" isn’t so bad after all…
