One of the first slaps I made last month. ( First time uploading, I will try to upload the rest if this works out.)
I have not really been to enthused about bringing Native American groups into the conversation about Israel and stolen land. This is a subject that many people especially political commentators know little to nothing about. It sucks listening to non Native people drag Native people through the proverbial ringer. I kind of feeling like that one guest did a while ago when he called in ( I forget if it was Dean or Parker's live) and said that the rhetoric that happens during the streams may further their personal political cause but it also harms the marginalized communities they are talking about.
I feel like in these conversations Native people are just being used as a cudgel to beat someone over the head with instead of understanding that these are the MOST impacted and underrepresented groups in the United States both socially and politically and because of this discussing these issues requires knowledge of history and tact.
