How long for an assignement?
I'm on the ready to board list with MSC. Any insight into how long it'll be before I get called on? 2 weeks? 4 months? Somewhere in between?
Plus, does anyone know how much notice MSC give you?

For a couple years I have though about getting a flip phone. Took the first plunge towards digital minimalism a year ago when I deleted Instagram and Facebook. The experence has been great!
Here's my idea and what I think MIGHT work. But I'm conscious the people around me won't understand it. And my biggest concern is WhatsApp! ...
Buy a flip phone as a second phone. So keep my existing smart phone too. Add my immediate circle and close friends' phone numbers onto this phone. Let them know that of they can't get in touch with me via WhatsApp (which everyone I know now use to message or call me) then to try me on my flip phone.
This way, when I need a break from my phone phone, they can contact me, especially in emergencies.
Am I underestimating however how much we rely on our smart phones. Everyone uses whatsapp now but there is also digital banking, google pay, google maps, the ability to google emergency numbers like car breakdown assistance... All tickets are digital now.
Is this a stupid idea, especially because the idea is going for days out and totally ditching the smart phone at home.
Would people around me accept this?
I have been told by someone who cleans ears (with the water one) that she won't do it because of my ear history. However I have heard that the non water version is more likely to cause a burst ear drum and can't be done on those with narrow ear canals which I have.
I need to get them cleaned so bad because they are so clogged up. Do we have no options? 😭(UK)
Here's my situation :
- dizziness / tinnitus (no vertigo, I don't think?)
- last ear infection was 1.5 years ago. I went through a year of getting them every other month but none since then.
- burst ear drum 3 years ago
- unconfirmed menieres. You know what the doctors are like here... I went to the hospital for dizziness bout 4/5 years ago and he said 'you PROBABLY have menieres??? ' and heard nothing else, no further advice given
I have an interview for a job in an outdoor education centre as an instructor (UK). It includes a tour of the centre. I am female.
Do I go for the normal interview attire or do I go for all black outdoor wear ?

Pretty please can you share your detailed experiences working for MSC? All roles but particularly youth staff.
I have heard some not-so-good things but I was wondering if there were any positive experiences too. However please share your honest experiences.
Can anyone share their experiences working for Worldwide Kids? Even if it is just from the recruitment process.
I don't know why but I am cautious they are not legit. You can't be too careful with these things nowadays.

What results do I need on the Chester step test in order to get that ENG-1. I still can't believe the step is 30cm, I am struggling on the 15cm.
Any advice or insight from someone that has done the test would be amazing.
Thank you
Can anyone who has worked on cruises share the general ages of the staff, particularly in the youth department?
I have just turned 28, and Ive been offered a conditonal position but I am thinking I might have to hold off and do it in a years time for medical reasons.
The thing is I am really feeling my age and I don't want to feel too out of place as I will then be 29. What is the general attitude of other staff and recruitment towards staff in their late twenties early thirties?
