German birth certificate - Unable to locate

Have been trying to locate my 2nd grandfather’s birth certificate (1886) no luck. Interestingly - I can find his parents birth/baptism records (1840s!).
Has anyone had Stag5 success without a birth certificate from the first German citizen in the chain of descent?

German genealogist/expert contact specializing in birth records/certificates?

Good day folks. This forum has been hugely valuable to me in my pursuit of Stag5.
Question. Does anyone have a German contact who specializes in birth record research? Specifically Baden-Württemberg area. My last mile is the birth certificate.

Stag 5 minimum docs for application?

Trying to piece together the minimum number of documents / evidence that is needed to get into the Stag 5 queue. This would be just docs for the application - assuming months / years to add documents to the application (vs spending time now collecting)

Or if there’s another thread on this already - that would be helpful.

Checking if the experts on this thread have an opinion on the legal interpretation of RuStAG 1913

- Great-grandfather - born 1886 Germany - emigrated to US in 1907. Did not naturalize.

- Grandmother - born 1912 - dual German (blood) and US citizen (birthright) - married in 1936 to US citizen (foreigner)

- Grandmother did not technically “acquire” US citizenship via marriage (she already had it). In fact, likely she did not realize she was a German citizen.

Thoughts?

My father was born 1946 and me in 1978 - so preparing Stag14 as most probable. So close!
