yesterday i saw my first pin but its clear it was there atleast one day before, theres nothing more so far, right now the pin is aboit 4-6mm, but its just one pin. whats happening any tips? 21-23c 92% humidity, FAE 3x times a day
it’s my first time growing and im so happy all my jars turned out without contamination. i got 5 of them but one is still not finished so i got only 4 in my fruiting chamber. its a plastic box with holes in it, with the bottom covered in expanded clay. the reason for the black top of the cake covered in black substrate without any colonization is thats it without and nutrients to manage contamination. im growing b+ because of size, pontetness and resilience. its my first time growing so im very excited for my first pins. what do yall think and what could i improve?
so im very new to growing mushrooms and my first jars of mycelium are finally fully colonized, i want to pull them out and start fruiting in a box, but i cant find any reliable info on this. i dont know if i should dunk the cake before i put it in the box or naj? some sources say its full nitrients and some say it used all water for colonising and i dont know what to trust. thanks for the help! i attached a photo oc my mycelium i just see some lose grainw not colonized and i rhink thats okay (pf tek method)
so i ordered some liquid culture and “vermikulit” corn flour, also something to manage humidity. i was very sceotic because i did lot of hygiene stuff wrong and at first lot of things went worong, but after 5 days i already see growth and i must i wasnt this happy in a long time, every glass out 5 is growing without any signs of mold, i just wanted to share some of my journey. my strain is cubensis B+ 10ml which should be really good for beginners.
